Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers Being Localized on 3DS

Devil Summoner- Soul Hackers is making its way outside of Japan for the first time. Get ready, 3DS owners!

Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is one of the least-played entries to the Shin Megami Tensei series due to its initial Japan-only release on the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation. That won’t be the case for much longer: Atlus has announced the 3DS version’s localization!

With Persona 3 and 4 having boosted the popularity of the series internationally, we’ve been seeing a lot more of Shin Megami Tensei and its spin-offs over the past few years. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers will just be another in a long list of games we definitely wouldn’t have gotten if the remake was released five years ago.

Those familiar with the game (all two of you) should expect to see more of the features found in the PlayStation version as opposed to the Saturn version. The Soul Hackers Saturn release was, to put it bluntly, really unfair in some areas.

Atlus has released a trailer for the NA release, which you can watch below. Preorders are also now open: Get to preorderin’, Megaten fans!
