Bubble Bobble 4 Friends Heads to North America in March

The newest entry in the classic arcade series is coming soon.

Publisher ININ Games has announced that Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, the latest title in the classic Taito arcade series, will be launching for Nintendo Switch both physically and digitally in North America on March 31.

First released in Europe on November 19, Bubble Bobble 4 Friends includes a single-player mode, a couch co-op mode for up to four players, 100 levels, five different bosses, and E-X-T-E-N-D bubbles to activate and upgrade skills in each level.

The original 1986 Bubble Bobble arcade game, which features both single-player and two-player co-op modes, will also be included in Bubble Bobble 4 Friends, which will mark its debut on Nintendo Switch. Previously, the original Bubble Bobble was released digitally on PlayStation 4 through the Arcade Archives collection.

Although Nintendo Switch has a number of games from the Arcade Archives collection, it seems that the original Bubble Bobble will only be available through Bubble Bobble 4 Friends for now.

After its European debut, Bubble Bobble 4 Friends also received a special edition version on December 13, which included a copy of the game, a special edition box, Bub and Bob keychains, four character cards, and a poster. It has not yet been confirmed if the special edition of Bubble Bobble 4 Friends will be available outside of Europe.
