Many of you have probably heard of Pokemon being designed with human forms. One of the most popular concepts of this is known as Gijinka. 'Gijinka' means giving something that is non-human a human design.

Many, many people like to cosplay as their favorite Pokemon -- and what better way to do it than by giving them a human form and a fantasy-themed overhaul?

That Grumpy Old Bastard Creations has crafted some truly amazing Pokemon designs for cosplayers to use. The one above for example, is Vaporeon. As you'll see in several of the following illustrations, each Pokemon is clearly recognizable but given a unique twist on its design to make it practical to wear and look awesome in the process.

Flareon Pyromancer

The popular Flareon has been given a redesign here that captures its color scheme, as well as the fluffy white neck ruff and tail.

Umbreon Dark Knight

A very roguelike take on the Dark-type Eeveelution, this design is both armored and appears to be lightweight for maneuverability.

Eevee Esquire

This is a very cute take on the little furball that starts off the Eevee line. I love how the headband also incorporates Eevee's ears into the design, as well as the fur lining the skirt and bracers.

Sylveon Magic Knight

This one is truly beautiful re-imagining of the Fairy-type Eeveelution. Incorporating the pink, white, and blue colors with a feminine design, this would be a stunning sight at any convention.

Charizard Knight

Nothing makes Charizard look more intimidating than full armor and a giant sword. The bright orange color definitely makes this design stand out, and the wings are an awesome touch as well.

Blastoise Cannoneer

Who knew a turtle with cannons on its back could look this cool? This fully armored take on the Water-type starter prominently features the cannons, and the helm is made to look like the Pokemon's head.

Venasaur Verdant Knight

This is a very cool interpretation of Venusaur, the grass-type starter. The design turns the huge flower on the creature's back into a flowing cape and features full armor. The staff and flower weapon accessories are pretty cool too!

Fate/Stay Gardevoir

Taking inspiration from both the anime Fate/Stay and fantasy concepts, everyone's favorite Pokemon female is transformed into this armored mage beauty. Her flowing lower half is converted into a battle skirt and the sword/staff combo is a really cool weapon.

Mew Prodigy

Finishing off our list is this redesign of the most infamous Gen One legendary, Mew. Featuring plenty of pink and a long braid that doubles as both hairstyle and the Pokemon's tail, this design is as cute as it is revealing.
