Holiday Shopping Comes Early With $50 Price Reduction on All Xbox One Consoles

The perfect time to buy? All Xbox One consoles get a $50 price reduction this holiday shopping season.

Halloween might be just around the corner, but Microsoft isn’t letting that get in the way of a new holiday pricing announcement. They won’t be making you wait until Black Friday this year to find out what the best deals are for a new Xbox One console. Starting November 2nd, and running until January 3rd, Microsoft has announced a $50 price cut for the popular Xbox One console this holiday season, in a limited time promotion that offers the best deals yet for getting your hands on an Xbox One. This includes any console, including special limited edition bundles, which amp up savings to as much as $150:

Xbox One Limited Edition Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Bundle – $449

This edition features a 1 TB hard drive, in addition to a digital copy of COD:Advanced Warfare, and custom skinned console and controller. It is worth noting that this edition does not include the Kinect.

Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle – $349

If you’re going to spend $349 on an Xbox One, why not get a bundle that includes a game as well? Not only do you get a white version of the console and controller, but a downloadable copy of the exclusive-to-Xbox Sunset Overdrive. This bundle does not include the Kinect.

Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle – $349 or $449 w/Kinect

This bundle comes with both Assassin’s Creed Unity, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. You can get it in the $349 version with no Kinect, or for $449 w/the Kinect.

Parents, you should be aware that each of these bundles includes games that are rated M for mature, so if you’re shopping for a younger game enthusiast, you may want to skip the bundle deals and go straight for the basic console, either with Kinect for $449, or without for $349. (Note: Kinect can be purchased separately from Microsoft for $149, so this is something that could always be added later.)

Sadly, Microsoft has confirmed that this special pricing does not currently extend to the UK, Canada, or any other territories at this time, although who knows if it may in the future. The deal will be available nationwide in the US, at most major retailers, including Amazon, Gamestop, Best Buy, Target, Toys ‘R Us, Walmart, and the Microsoft Store. It is also worth mentioning that this price slash does, I am sure quite intentionally, place the Xbox One at a lower price point than its chief competitor, Playstation 4, which retails for $399.

Overall, this holiday season is looking pretty bright for Xbox fans. Not only is the Xbox One being offered at special pricing, but the season also has several new games that have a lot to get excited about. Among them: the highly anticipated RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition, Forza Horizon 2, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which bundles all previous Halo games exclusively for Xbox One, as well as the previously mentioned Sunset Overdrive and Assassin’s Creed Unity. Those who waited to pick up a next-gen console due to a lack of available titles may just find this the perfect time to buy.
