Missing in action: 9 games that were conspicuously absent from E3

4 of 11

Red Dead Redemption 2

This is another title that people were all but guaranteeing would appear this year at E3 but somehow either got culled from the lineup... or was never planned to be announced at all and fans just ran with a rumor.

That same rumor mill is running rampant that news of the release is being delayed in respect for the victims of the recent Orlando shooting at Pulse due to the game's content, but there's been no official statement to that effect from anyone at Take Two or Rockstar.

I was really hoping for Shadow of Mordor or a new Metroid. Too bad neither showed. Still, we got some good -looking games coming up.

I'm expecting Shadow of Mordor to be shown at GamesCom.

And why did anyone think a R* game would be at E3? They never are... RDR2 (or any other R* game) was expected not to be at E3.

So, so looking forward to a new Shadow Of Mordor. I don't recall if Rockstar was presenting it or if it was Sony/Microsoft announcing it coming to the current gen consoles, but I know for fact GTA 5 has been covered at past E3s, so Red Dead certainly isn't outside the ream of possibilities.

There was a GTA V trailer released around E3, but not at E3 it's self.
