Sega Recognizes #SEGAPCPorts Petition to Port Games to PC
Over the last few days, NeoGAF user TaroYamada has brought the gaming community together to support a petition aimed towards Sega to port cult games Bayonetta, Vanquish and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown to PC. Starting on January 23rd with an initial goal of 20,000 signatures, the Change.org petition has already managed to reach 6,000 as of this writing.
These three titles were picked for a good reason
Both Bayonetta and Vanquish, developed by Platinum Games, run on the same engine as the recently ported Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Therefore a majority of the work has already been finished to get the games initially running on the platform. Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown was also picked as the arcade machine runs on a modified version of Windows. These titles would happily find a new home on PC, considering the critical acclaim that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has already received.
Several Sega fans have already reached out to the company themselves to ask about the petition, and the results have already been positive:

Sega is no stranger to the PC gaming market, and they are listening to their fans
Sega has had their fair share of success over the past decade with the Total War and Football Manager titles. In 2013 they released a port of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing: Transformed on Steam, with exclusive content, frequent updates and low system requirements this is considered by many gamers to be the best version of the game, showing that there is in fact a market for more console games on PC.
Even better, Sega is making it clear that they are watching the grassroots movement closely:
With a dedicated community effort across social media combined with the press and Sega staff watching the petition, it's looking very positive that Sega may be expanding their PC gaming library in the years to come.
