Prime World: Defenders Now Available On Steam

"Prime World: Defenders is a must play for any tower defense enthusiast." – Daniel Tack, Forbes.com

In a happy change of scenery, Nival has developed a tower defense game entitled Prime World: Defenders that utilizes a card deck mechanic. Spells, towers, and traps are all dependent on the cards you have in your possession. You’ll even receive a random set of cards after each battle.

Speaking of battles: you’ll find plenty. Joining a group of hunters, you travel through an ancient mysterious empire as you fight off “hordes of monstrous mutants”.  You’ll have to fight off every sort of creature; from innocent looking fungi to giant powerful goblins. Do you have what it takes to formulate the best strategy given the resources you’re supplied?

You’ll be able to find out during the single-player campaign that boasts additional random generated missions.

You might be happy to note some other key features of this game:

  • No micro-transactions or additional payments (makes you wanna hug someone almost)
  • Story-based campaign with 23 missions
  • Mission generator offers infinite replayability
  • Bosses, mini-bosses and huge bosses
  • Enemy buildings in game heal and buff attacking creeps
  • 20 towers, each with up to 25 upgrades
  • Flying battleship (And, seriously, who doesn’t like those)
  • Available for PC and Mac

Joshua Dennison of PixelsOrDeath.com has stated that the game is “…an astounding amount of content for the price…” and if you look into all the game offers it wouldn’t be too hard to agree.

Nival has previously been involved with their online action-strategy game named solely Prime World, and although their website for Defenders doesn’t make any straight out claims to connections between the two it’s obviously their intent. If you are wary about trying the game before having a taste of what it’s like, you might want to check out a GameSkinny review on it first.

I'm a 29 year old Jersey girl who loves games. I currently work full time, volunteer part time at this awesome non-profit called Amman Imman, and go to school part time. I also train in jiu jitsu. So time isn't quite on my side (unlike that song says). I have been trying unsuccessfully for years to clone myself so I can devote one of me to boring stuff like working and laundry - thus allowing more time for gaming. I'm willing to offer large sums of imaginary money to any who can make this happen.
