StarCraft‘s Medic will be joining the battle with a very interesting move set. While she can still heal and shield ally units, she’ll be able to summon the Medivac from StarCraft II. It will work differently in this game. You can summon the Medivac and transport the Medic herself and a teammate to another part of the map.

Just imagine the new strategies that will form with this new character. Ambushes and rescues come to mind but players of HOTS might come up with some more clever tricks for this newcomer unit.

Upon being asked if whether or not Fenix will be in Heroes of the Storm, David Browder, Game Director of StarCraft II answered reddit user, monthius‘s question:

Give us about 6 months and we may talk about Fenix then.

In addition, Browder stated that while he wanted Fenix in the game but there were already too many characters that already had a resurrection mechanic, referring to the heroes Diablo and Leoric. However, there is definitely still hope for Fenix even if it may not be in the near future.

Heroes of the Storm is available for Windows & Mac.
