Ashes of the Singularity update adds full voice over dialog

NEW Ashes of the Singularity update v1.2 adds newly enhanced campaign, new units, global chat, and more.

As of June 9th, Stardock and Oxide Games have released v1.2 of Ashes of the Singularity. The new update adds an enhanced campaign, complete with full voice over for all dialogue, new missions, and new cutscenes. In addition, v1.2 has the new “Substrate Eradicator” and “PHC Athena” units, a single-player Hall of Fame, a Global Chat channel, and substantial UI and AI improvements.

CEO and President of Stardock games, Brad Wardell,  announced that:

“Players will experience a lot more immersion with our campaign improvements. We brought in voice actors to record dialogue in both English and German, plus we’ve added new missions and some excellent cutscenes, with plans to do more in the future as well.”

A new CPU-focused benchmark designed to simulate the strain of a massive 3v3 battle on a large map rounds out the v1.2 update.

Wardell also adds that,

“This benchmark is for the gaming enthusiasts. This will let them test their multi-core CPU scaling and see how they can best optimize Ashes’ performance.”

Ashes of the Singularity and the new v1.2 update is now available on Steam or through Stardock.
