YouTube App Hits 3DS

The newly added YouTube app on the 3DS will help gamers stay connected, viewing their favorite videos on YouTube from their beloved handheld device.

YouTube is welcomed into the family of apps on the 3DS, making the lives of gamers just a bit more connected. Although the handheld gaming system has had web browsing capabilities for some time, it’s a nice feeling to see that these apps are being created to narrow down exactly what you want to do on the system.

So about this YouTube app?

This app will seem like something you’ve seen before on Android or iOS devices. It’s free to download through the 3DS eShop, and is essential to keep updated on all news through YouTube. The app is a bit familiar to Nintendo gamers, being similar to the one available on the Wii and Wii U. Currently, the YouTube app is only available in North America and Europe, but hopefully will be moving around the world in the upcoming months.

It’s going to be very exciting to see what new apps Nintendo will have available on the 3DS, which seems more like a smartphone with every update. Who knows, someday there might even be 3D playback for videos.
