It’s always sad to see a game’s servers close down, but in this case it’s in the name of progress: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Wii U and 3DS is right around the corner on March 19. Tri players have over a month after 3 Ultimate‘s release to wrap things up and move onto the sequel.

With rumors of Monster Hunter 4 heading to the Vita floating around, this looks to be an exciting year for the franchise. I’d played most of the entries to the series on the PSP and skipped out on Tri. 3 Ultimate looks stellar, and the ever-elusive Monster Hunter 4 is sure to be a strong entry to MH series. Just glad I won’t have to do “the claw” on my PSP ever again.
