Have you ever thought that you could be a millionaire off of literally just playing your favorite video game? This is the reality for the following 10 pro gamers. These players below have the recorded overall highest earnings in the world of online gaming as recorded on eSport earnings

The following list contains some of the most well-known gamers, especially from the Dota 2 realm. It also features teams like the Evil Geniuses, and Team Dignitas.

1. PPD (aka Peter Dager)


This 24-year-old player from the US has earned more than $2 million in the last 5 years. He has participated in 51 tournaments, placed "champ" in 19 of them, and his largest earnings come from playing Dota 2 and Heroes of Newerth. He is also a part of the team called Evil Geniuses.

2. UNiVeRsE (aka Saahil Arora)


This 26-year-old player is also from the States. He comes in at a close second, having won more than $2 million over the past 6 years. He's participated in 48 tournaments, was made champion in 17, and is also a part of the Evil Geniuses as well as Quantic Gaming, and Team Dignitas. All of his winnings have come from playing Dota 2. 

3. Fear (a.k.a. Clinton Loomis)


This is our third and last player from the States who ranks amongst the top 10. He is 28-years-old and also participates as a member of the Evil Geniuses. He has been deemed champion in 19 out of the 53 tournaments he has participated in, and his earnings come from playing Dota 2 and Defense of the Ancients over the past 8 years. 

4. Aui_2000 (aka Kurtis Ling)

$1,883, 464.84

This player is 23 years old and from good ol' Canada. He has participated in 50 tournaments, championed 11, and has received all of his earnings through Dota 2 as well. As you may have guessed, he is a part of the team Evil Geniuses, and has made other appearances on Cloud9, Digital Chaos, and Team Dignitas. 

5. SumaiL (aka Sumail Hassan)


A 16-year-old Dota 2 player. He has only participated in 17 tournaments and has placed champion in 5. He too is among the ranks of Evil Geniuses and has been playing for only the past 2 years competitively (that we know of) on Dota 2.

6. xlao8 (aka Zhang Ning)


He is 26-years-old, has played in 44 tournaments, claimed champion in 14 of them and is a part of these three teams: Bog God, LGD Gaming, Newbee. He is certainly posing a threat to the Evil Geniuses. He is from China and comes in with winnings from both Dota 2 and Defense of the Ancients over the past 5 years.

7. Hao (aka Chen Zhihao)


Also from China, this 25-year-old has been earning competitively over the past 7 years. He has played in 51 tournaments and championed 15. He has done so with his teams Invictus Gaming, Newbee, TongFu, and Vici Gaming. His main games are Defense of the Ancients and Dota 2

8. Puppy (aka Clement Ivano)


Clement, from Estonia, has been playing pro for 7 years and is now 25 years old. He has played in 68 tournaments and championed 36 of them -- very impressive. He is a part of both team Natus Vincere and Team Secret playing both Defense of the Ancients and Dota 2

9. Banana (aka Jiao Wang)


Jiao is from China and has been earning competitively for the past 6 years, participating in 43 tournaments. He has been deemed champion of 15 of these tournaments and been a part of Invictus Gaming, Newbee, and Tongfu. 

10. Mu (a.k.a. Zhang Pan)


Originally from China, Zhang has made over a million dollars in the past 6 years and has participated in 41 tourneys. He has placed champion in 9 and belongs to teams Newbee and TongFu. He, along with many if not all of the other competitors on this list, competes in Dota 2 and Defense of the Ancients
