Ubisoft Graduate Program Now Accepting Applications

Ubisoft has launched a new program to offer post-grads real game industry experience.

It’s the age-old question every job hunter and recent grad has faced: How am I supposed to gain work experience when nobody will hire me without it?

This exact predicament has inspired Ubisoft to create the Ubisoft Graduate Program. Starting this September, the studio behind Assassin’s Creed will offer 25 recent graduates from around the world the opportunity to work for Ubisoft and gain real industry experience.

As of now, the program only has two tracks – project management and programming – but depending on how successful the pilot year is, could expand into other areas. Participants will be considered full-time employees and paid a competitive salary, all while gaining the knowledge crucial for a job in the gaming industry.

Graduates will spend the first half of the two-year program at a studio in their home country. Not all Ubisoft studios are participating however, so this limits the program’s availability to those living in France, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Romania, Canada, the USA, and the UK. Participants will then be transferred a studio abroad for the remaining year.

What kind of people is Ubisoft looking for?

“We are looking for strong team players who are results-oriented and have excellent problem-solving skills,” says Clémence Bataille, the Project Manager for the Ubisoft Graduate Program. “They must be open to working in different locations worldwide, in English, and within multicultural teams. Of course, we expect applicants to have a genuine interest in videogames!”

You’ll also need a relevant degree.
