I don't care what you say, split screen co-op with a friend is the definition of multiplayer fun. Online multiplayer may be what's popular now, but there's something special in sitting down with a friend and getting frustrated with each other -- which is why I'm so glad Portal 2 for the PC is finally getting local co-op.

The console version of Portal 2 came with split screen co-op, but PC users had to mess with the config files to make it possible. Luckily, that is now a thing of the past.

This is great not only for players solely using their PCs, but also those opting to use Steam’s Big Picture mode to bring their Steam games to their television.
