If your one of the millions of people who picked up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt when it launched early last week then you know how many troubles the game has had (starting off with a backlash from gamers who discovered its graphics had been downgraded.) Patches have been rolling out ever since with 1.03 being the latest to hit the PC and consoles.
PS4 owners who quickly jumped on the latest patch are wishing they hadn’t however with the discovery of a major bug in the update. Taking to The Witcher 3 forums they’re reporting that patch 1.03 has destroyed their ability to earn experience from completing quests. An obviously major bug in a game that is filled with countless quests for players to complete so they can raise their rank and gain new gear.
One player on The Witcher 3 forums, Minetor, was especially upset about the problem saying:
The last quest i did was Ciri’s Story: Breakneck Speed that should give 1000 xp it gave me non my xp was at 605/1500 at L17 before quest and was the same after the quest shoul of got me to L18.
1000 experience points and a chance to level up in an intense RPG like The Witcher 3 is not something any player wants to miss out on. Thankfully CD Projekt Red is well aware of the problem, already hard at work at finding a solution. A member of the dev has posted on the forums that the cause of the problem has been found but there is no teling when a patch will come out for it.
