Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End  has been out for a couple weeks now, and it has sold very well in its first week. To date, the game has sold 2.7 million units world wide and that’s very impressive, but then again, it’s Uncharted. We all love Nathan Drake and his extraordinary adventures seeking out lost cities and treasures.

With the Uncharted series being one of Naughty Dog’s best selling series, it was time they upgraded the graphics for the PS4, and my oh my have they done just that! The visuals in this game are so mesmerizing I honestly forgot I was playing a game.

The graphics are phenomenal and are so near to being life-like its actually a bit scary and exciting at the same time. The image above shows just how real the environments look, as if you are actually right there along with Nate and Sam searching for long lost riches. Not only do the graphics for the environment look stunning, the characters are incredibly life-like. I swear, Drake is a real person after playing this game.

There are some instances throughout the game that have you slide down steep hills and cliffs that are either covered in mud, gravel and dirt. These all have an affect on Drake’s appearance as he will get covered in mud, dust or even get drenched from being in the water. This is not new to gamers as many games incorporate this mechanic, but they don’t come close to looking as amazing as Uncharted

The impressive graphics don’t end there. If Drake gets injured from a fight or due to the insane shenanigans he gets himself into, those injuries are carried over into the cut-scenes and even into the next phase of the game. This is what makes the game-play more interesting and fleshes out these characters more so than in the previous installments.

Sadly, this is the last installment of the series, which is a bummer. But it’s one hell of a way to end a great adventure with the greatest treasure hunter of all time.

What do you think of the graphics in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End? Are they mind-blowingly amazing or just so-so?  Comment below and until next time…Joe out!
