Danganronpa is coming to Nintendo Switch later in 2021, Nintendo and Spike Chunsoft announced during the Nintendo E3 2021 presentation. All three mainline Danganronpa games will release as Danganronpa Decadence.

Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp is also included in Decadence. It's an expanded version of the board game from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony and features a beach brawl contest at a tropical resort.

Danganronpa Decadence will release as one package physically, though each game will be available separately on the Nintendo eShop.

As yet, there's no word on whether Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls will release on Nintendo Switch as well.

Each Danganronpa game revolves around a set of murder mysteries. The psychotic bear Monokuma and his offspring trap a set of students in a location — school, for example, or an island — and wait for them to eventually kill each other off.

Naturally, your goal is escaping without being counted among the dead, but you'll need to keep your wits about you.

Get Ready for Thrills, Chills, and Kills with Danganronpa Mobile Ports https://www.gameskinny.com/ng31z/get-ready-for-thrills-chills-and-kills-with-danganronpa-mobile-ports https://www.gameskinny.com/ng31z/get-ready-for-thrills-chills-and-kills-with-danganronpa-mobile-ports Mon, 20 Apr 2020 14:01:37 -0400 Josh Broadwell

[Update: 4/21:] This morning, Spike Chunsoft's English Twitter account tweeted the Danganronpa Anniversary Editions for mobile will be heading West as well. The original story follows below.

Spike Chunsoft's cult-hit Danganronpa series is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. As part of the celebrations, the developer announced Danganronpa mobile ports are happening for all three mainline games.

Famitsu broke the announcement, with translation done by Gematsu.

Known in the West as Trigger Happy Havoc, Goodbye Despair, and V3: Killing Harmony, the three numbered Danganronpa games on mobile will feature a number of alterations and new features. Each will also get the additional subtitle "Anniversary Edition" attached. The spinoff games Ultra Despair Girls and Cyber Danganronpa VR aren't included in these Android and iOS ports.

The mobile Danganronpa games will get a user interface overhaul, along with touch controls. They'll have galleries galore you can access at any time as well: an event and voice-over gallery, an artwork gallery, and a gallery for in-game illustrations.

As of now, there's no word of Western releases for the Danganronpa mobile ports. But since this is a primarily Japanese celebration for the series, it's possible announcements for Western versions will come later.

The original article is over on Famitsu, and you can check out the translation on Gematsu.

Speaking of celebrations, the Danganronpa 10th anniversary celebrations have only just begun. Among other things, Spike Chunsoft is hosting a livestream on the third Thursday of each month with new information about the series, so there may be more announcements on the way. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Danganronpa news as it develops.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Gets New Trailer and Release Date https://www.gameskinny.com/d7wmq/danganronpa-2-goodbye-despair-gets-new-trailer-and-release-date https://www.gameskinny.com/d7wmq/danganronpa-2-goodbye-despair-gets-new-trailer-and-release-date Thu, 05 Jun 2014 18:21:35 -0400 zoLo567

One of my favorite games this year so far is definitely Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. For the PS Vita, this game has a great story, intriguing characters, and awesome Ace Attorney-style gameplay. When I heard about a sequel, I got excited.

Now, NIS America has released an official trailer for the game, titled Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, with character reveals and a release date. Looks like Vita owners have a reason to get excited.

We will once again experience despair

The game will once again feature a group of students stuck in a game of life or death by the nefarious Monokuma. It is kill or be killed, as the only way out is to kill your fellow classmates and get away with it. NIS America gave this description:

Jabberwock Island -- once a popular tourist destination, this now uninhabited island remains oddly pristine. You and your classmates at the elite Hope's Peak Academy have been brought to this island by your super-cute teacher for a "lovey-dovey, heart-throbbing school trip." Everyone seems to be having fun in the sun...until Monokuma returns to restart his murderous game! Trapped on this island of mutual killing, your only hope of escape rests in solving the island's mysteries. But be warned—sometimes the truth can be its own despair...

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair will start an all new set of students, who are "Ultimates," the best at what they do (such as the "Ultimate Gymnast" or the "Ultimate Swordswoman"). The game also introduces what seems like a female Monokuma, dubbed "Monomi." The game seemingly keeps the grisly murder scenes, and the "battles" will take place in the court room once again, in the vein of Ace Attorney

As I said before, I love Danganronpa.

I feel it is one of the best titles on the PS Vita so far (You can read my review here). This trailer suggests that we can expect the court room driven, murder fueled action featured in the first game. We will once again be able to play Monokuma's sick game when Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair releases on September 2.
