Diablo: Immortal is loaded with different currencies, consumables, gems, and other various items. Each serves a specific purpose: to make your character stronger or to buy something that does. Skill Stones are part of the former, and they have different ranks for different effects. Let's talk about them.

Skill Stones Explained

Skill Stones are an item you get by maxing out a Charm to Rank 5 and extracting it, with each extraction costing 500 platinum. The process will create a stone that has 5 skills that can then be used to imbue Charms with one of those five skills. Which skill the charm is imbued with is left completely to chance.

You can create a stone as well as salvage, upgrade, and imbue your charms at Vas [Charm Craftsman] in Rakkis Plaza in Westmarch. He is towards the southwestern portion of that merchant area near the identifier NPC.

While none of the resources involved are strictly premium resources, platinum is both free and paid. You can get it quickly by paying real cash or at a slower pace by selling things on the Market, earning rewards with Battle Points, or completing dailies.

Since there is an 80% chance of not getting what you want when using a stone, it can lead to a lot of frustration at the waste of resources. But don't fret: simply sell the ones you don't want on the Market. So-so charms and stones will help recoup your loss, but great ones you don't use will likely net you a good profit!

Charms Explained

Charms can be purchased at lower levels and equipped at Level 56. They are special items that increase your class skill damage by 2%-10% when equipped. For example, one might have a charm that gives the Monk's Seven-Sided Strike 6% increased damage. The percentage increase is seemingly random.

Charms can be ranked up, a step that is required for Skill Stones. They have five ranks:

  • Rank 1: Simple Charm
  • Rank 2: Wild Charm
  • Rank 3: Refined Charm
  • Rank 4: Ornate Charm
  • Rank 5: Grand Charm

Each time you upgrade your charms with Vas, it costs 20 Alchemical Powder. You get this currency by salvaging Simple Charms. Each one grants 10 powder. However, you can only salvage them at Rank 1!

Where to Find Charms

Occasionally, charms will be rewarded for completing bounties, but the majority can be purchased from the Hilts Trader in the northeastern part of Westmarch. You can purchase three a week on the main tab of his store, and you can buy one from the "Limited Time" section. Be sure to check the in-game limited time notification button so you can rush back and buy a charm when they restock. Each can be purchased for 100 Hilts.

Diablo Immortal: Fading Embers Guide https://www.gameskinny.com/dkbdr/diablo-immortal-fading-embers-guide https://www.gameskinny.com/dkbdr/diablo-immortal-fading-embers-guide Fri, 17 Jun 2022 09:51:23 -0400 Joseph Rowe

As you make your way deeper into the end game of Diablo Immortal, you'll be scrambling to find information on the vast number of different resources you'll have to manage. You have to worry about Legendary Gems, Adventure Journals, and more. One of those is Fading Embers.

This guide tells you everything you need to know about Fading Embers, from how to farm more to how Runes come into play.

What are Fading Embers?

Fading Embers constitute one of the many end-game currencies. They become available when you unlock Elder Rifts. You can earn Embers from completing rifts, then exchange them for FA Runes from merchant Cellik [Fading Embers and Runes] in the town of Westmarch at a rate of 18 embers per rune.

You can find Cellik down the stairs of the entrance to Elder Rifts.

Why are Runes Important?

So why should you buy Runes? Because they're one of the most important items for crafting Legendary Gems. Like others in the series, Gems boost your character stats in Diablo: Immortal. That means you'll get more health, more attack, etc., depending on the Gem. Some, like the legendary Lightning Core, add extra effects to your abilities, as well. Gems are just as, if not more, important as your other gear, thus making Runes from Embers important, too.

There are two options when crafting high-level gems. The first involves crafting specific Gems, where you'll need X amount of ATI runes and X amount of a different rune specific to that legendary. The second involves crafting random Legendary Gems, nowhere you'll need X amount of FA runes depending on the type:

  • 7 FA runes for a guaranteed 1-star
  • 28 FA runes for a guaranteed 2-star
  • 22 FA runes for a legendary between 1 and 5-stars.

It's easy to run out of Embers and Runes in Diablo: Immortal, so it's important to always be on the lookout for Fading Embers.

How to Get More Fading Embers

Fading Embers are capped. Unlike some other games, where you can earn as many items as you can kill enemies  or games like WoW and FFXIV, where everyone pays a small fee and is time-gated  Diablo Immortal's system time-gates Free-to-Play and allows others to go as far as their wallets will take them.

You can earn up to 200 Fading Embers per week just from running Elder Rifts, and you can earn another 120 Embers if other players in your group stack their crests and use only legendaries. Rare Crests will add 1 bonus ember per crest, and Legendary Crests add 5 per crest. Players can run these rifts as many times as they want, but they will only get bonus embers if they use crests and haven't met their weekly limit.

At 320 max Embers per week, 18 Embers per FA rune, and 22 Runes (396 Embers) for just the chance to get a good Gem, you will have to grind quite a bit to get what your character needs. Keep this in mind when you're farming.

Just like Embers, this Diablo Immortal guide is fading. The fun doesn't have to stop here, though, as we have tons of other coverage for you to check out, like our Essence Transfer and Difficulty Changing guides.

Diablo Immortal: How to Get Adventure Journals https://www.gameskinny.com/rn2y4/diablo-immortal-how-to-get-adventure-journals https://www.gameskinny.com/rn2y4/diablo-immortal-how-to-get-adventure-journals Thu, 16 Jun 2022 11:15:59 -0400 Joseph Rowe

Diablo: Immortal is filled with a multitude of different currencies, quests, unlockables, and more. And Adventure Journals are just part of that. These items are tied to Elite Quests, making these items part of the end-game. They're also tied to changing your difficulty after the main campaign.

If you're wondering how to get Adventure Journals, this guide tells you everything you need to know.

What are Elite Quests?

Let's start with the basics. Elite Quests become available after beating the main campaign, starting at Level 60 with Hell I difficulty (or higher) enabled. They contain multiple parts of larger quest chains, and completing them yields great rewards, including special chests. And these chests can be unlocked by redeeming Adventure Journals.

Where Do Find and Turn in Adventure Journals?

Currently, we know of two ways to get two Adventure Journals:

  • If you're under Level 60, there will be no journals for you! If you're Level 60 and switch to Hell I difficulty, you will receive an Adventure Journal through the codex.
  • You will receive a second one through the codex after hitting Paragon Level 30 and switching to Hell II difficulty.

The whereabouts of other journals are unknown for now, but we'll be sure to update the guide once more info is known. It is likely that you'll unlock one for each additional level of Hell, but it's not possible to confirm yet.

To turn the journals in, visit Rakkis Plaza in Westmarch and look for the NPC named Taite [Adventure Seeker]. Speak to her to exchange the journals for an Elite Quest and get some sick loot while enjoying Immortal's wonderfully grim atmosphere and story.

That's it for this Diablo Immortal guide to Adventure Journals. We'll keep it updated as more journals come out. If you're interested in more guides to help you grind out that epic loot, check out our Essence Transfer guide.

Diablo Immortal: Hidden Lair Locations Guide https://www.gameskinny.com/y6c5a/diablo-immortal-hidden-lair-locations-guide https://www.gameskinny.com/y6c5a/diablo-immortal-hidden-lair-locations-guide Mon, 13 Jun 2022 10:46:50 -0400 Serhii Patskan

Getting more loot in Diablo Immortal's dungeons is always a top priority, and one of the quickest and most lucrative ways of doing so is by raiding the Hidden Lair dungeons.

This guide will list the game's possible Hidden Lair locations. Note that these areas spawn randomly all over the map, so once you get a notification about an open Hidden Lair, go ahead and check these spots out.

Ashwold Cemetery Hidden Lair Locations

Once you reach Level 20, you can start exploring your first Hidden Lair in the Ashwold Cemetery. There are 11 possible locations:

  • 3 at the Ashwold Manor.
  • 3 at the Eastern Gardens.
  • 2 at the Queen Asylla's Tomb.
  • 3 at the Ossuary.

Dark Wood Hidden Lair Locations

Alternatively, after reaching Level 20, you could step into the Dark Wood, where you can find nine possible Hidden Lair locations. Six of these entrances can be found in the north of the Dark Wood:

  • 3 at the Tree of Inifuss.
  • 2 at the Sanguine Ruins.
  • 1 at the Fetid Swamp.

The other three locations can be found in the south of the Dark Wood:

  • 2 at the Derelict Timber Yard.
  • 1 at the Blackstone Village.

Shassar Sea Hidden Lair Locations

After reaching Level 28, you can travel to the Shassar Sea. Here you will find eight possible Hidden Lair locations:

  • 4 at the Domian of Horror.
  • 3 at the Lacuni Incursion.
  • 1 at the Windswept Sands.

Library of Zoltun Kulle Hidden Lair Locations

The Library of Zoltun Kulle, a Level 35 dungeon, also has eight Hidden Lair locations:

  • 4 at the Writhing Ingress.
  • 3 at the Grand Vestibule.
  • 1 at the Archive of Secrets.

Bilefen Hidden Lair Locations

Finally, once you reach Level 40, you can start exploring the area of Bilefen, which has five possible Hidden Lair locations:

  • 2 at the Infested Quagmire.
  • 1 at the Abandoned Village.
  • 1 at the Hermit's Outpost.
  • 1 at the Southern Wetlands.

Mount Zavain Hidden Lair Locations

Mounta Zavain has six possible Hidden Lair locations, mostly in its northern part:

  • 4 at the Zakarum Graveyard
  • 1 south of the Overlook
  • 1 at the Cricible

Frozen Tundra Hidden Lair Locations

The final area where you can find Hidden Lair locations is the Frozen Tundra, which has four possible spots:

  • 2 at the Ruins of Sescheron
  • 1 at the Ancient Graveyard
  • 1 at the Ice Clan Village

Diablo Immortal Best Classes Tier List https://www.gameskinny.com/0cvq2/diablo-immortal-best-classes-tier-list https://www.gameskinny.com/0cvq2/diablo-immortal-best-classes-tier-list Thu, 09 Jun 2022 10:39:07 -0400 Serhii Patskan

There are six classes in Diablo Immortal: three melee and three ranged. Each class has a number of skills and abilities, but not all of them are equal in PvE and PvP. Some are more suited to one mode or the other. This tier list will showcase all of the best classes in Diablo Immortal, including their best skills for both PvE and PvP, as well as notes on weaknesses that all players must be aware of.

S-Tier Classes

Necromancer

  • Type: Ranged.
  • Attribute: Intelligence.

Necromancer has many advantages: he can summon pets and use various buffs and debuffs. It's a perfect class for beginner players as well, since it's very easy to learn.

All of his attacks, whether they are targeted or AoE, such as Soulfire and Bone Spear, have high damage output. He can summon skeletons, golems, spirits, and other creatures that can tank for you.

In PvP, Necromancer is an excellent support class, who can use Bone Walls and Bone Spikes to disrupt your opponent's movements. The only drawback to the Necromancer is its lack of mobility.

Crusader

  • Type: Melee.
  • Attribute: Strength.

A DPS tank, Crusader is the strongest class in the game in terms of physicality. Just like Necromancer, this class has excellent targeted and AoE attacks, such as Punish and Sacred Fire. But unlike Necromancer, Crusader has some of the better mobility skills in the game, such as Draw and Quarter, which summons a war horse, increases his speed by 60%, and removes certain debuffs.

In PvP, his Condemn ability can be of great help, as it burns all opponents once, then repeats the AoE again (with lesser damage), finishing off everyone who managed to stay alive. Crusader's cooldowns could be a bit shorter, but you don't have to worry about that too much since he has enough armor to protect him while you're waiting.

A-Tier Classes

Barbarian

  • Type: Melee.
  • Attribute: Strength.

Barbarian is a pure DPS class that has fewer tanky abilities but more combat and mobility skills than Crusader. His Lacerate skill heals you while you attack, which can be quite useful, and if you feel that you need to push things even further with his attacks, then Frenzy will initiate a powerful hack-and-slash combo.

While in PvP, you can use his Hammer of the Ancients attack, which will scare away all of your opponents, dealing massive hits. Unfortunately, his cooldowns can also be quite slow, and his defensive skills aren't that good either.

Demon Hunter

  • Type: Ranged.
  • Attribute: Strength.

Demon Hunter is basically the physical counterpart to the Necromancer, though it has special and unique abilities to set up traps. Demon Hunter uses powerful Explosive Arrows that strike a single target for a massive amount of damage, and then spreads reduced damage to all other enemies in the vicinity.

In addition to your own ranged weapon, you can set up a Sentry that summons turrets that fire at enemies automatically. And, if you don't want your enemies to know your position, then set up a Knife Trap to catch them by surprise. With all that said, Demon Hunter can be very lackluster in PvP due to its weak defenses.

B-Tier Classes

Wizard

  • Type: Ranged.
  • Attribute: Intelligence.

Wizard is a great choice for players who like challenging battles, where AoE skills are important. This class also has the ability to chain damage with the Electrocute skill, which hits one target and spreads to others nearby.

But the biggest advantage of the Wizard class is its Teleport skill, which allows you to quickly change your position to avoid damage; it's especially useful in PvP.

However, the Wizard has a ton of weaknesses. It has low health, long cooldowns, and a complete lack of buffing abilities.

Monk
  • Type: Melee.
  • Attribute: Strength.

Monk is a physical support character, and by definition isn't a good choice for solo PvE. Although Monk has lots of useful support skills and low cooldowns, his damage output is low and his defenses are rather fragile. However, his Fists of Thunder skill is quite good in combination with teleportation.

With the help of Shield of Zen you can protect both yourself and another one of your allies from damage, which also protects from various control spells.

Potential Fixes for Diablo Immortal Controller Lag https://www.gameskinny.com/67g3r/potential-fixes-for-diablo-immortal-controller-lag https://www.gameskinny.com/67g3r/potential-fixes-for-diablo-immortal-controller-lag Tue, 07 Jun 2022 14:58:29 -0400 Serhii Patskan

The PC version of Diablo Immortal is a port of the mobile version, and some of the idiosyncrasies associated with mobile gaming seem to have come along with it. Many PC players have reported that regardless of the type of controller, controller lag is a serious issue a few days after the game's release.

This article will provide you with several potential fixes for Diablo Immortal controller lag. All the solutions listed below have helped different players to eliminate the problem of their controller not working, but not all are guaranteed to work.

Disconnect and Reconnect Your Controller

Sure, this is "capital T" Troubleshooting 101 stuff, but it's worth trying out first. Some players also reported that simple re-plugging of the controller may help the issue as well. Here's what you need to do aside from simply unplugging your controller and plugging it back in:

  1. Exit Diablo Immortal.
  2. Close Blizzard launcher app.
  3. Plug out and plug in your controller.
  4. Start the launcher and the game using the controller.

Hopefully, the lag should be removed once the game properly initializes your controller.

Switch to Controller In-Game

Many players also forget about the in-game option of switching the game controls from mouse and keyboard to controller. You can make sure your settings are correct by following these steps:

  1. Go to "Settings" menu.
  2. Select "Controller" feature.
  3. Switch to "Controller" option instead of "Keyboard".

You may also need to restart your game for the new settings to take effect.

Disable Frame Limit Settings

One of the main reasons controllers lag in the PC version of Diablo Immortal is because the graphics settings limit your FPS count. To potentially remove the lag, try the following:

  • Go to "Settings" menu.
  • Select "Graphics" feature.
  • Choose "Uncapped" in the FPS section.
  • Choose "Off" in the Vertical Sync section.
  • Choose "Off" in the Image Sharpening section.

In addition to these settings, disable all third-party FPS programs that may be working on your PC and affecting the frame rate of Diablo Immortal.

Aside from these potential fixes, it's always worth:

  • Checking battery levels for wireless controllers.
  • Checking that your drivers are up to date.
  • Checking that your USB port works.
  • Unplugging other USB-connected devices.
  • Enabling Bluetooth if the controller supports it.

Those are easy things to check. If all is seemingly lost, uninstalling and reinstalling controller software can potentially work, as well.

Hopefully, your controller now works perfectly well in Diablo Immortal. If you are looking for a way to change resolution in Diablo Immortal, then click the provided link for the related guide.

Diablo Immortal Essence Transfer: How to Extract and Inherit Powers https://www.gameskinny.com/f5cwc/diablo-immortal-essence-transfer-how-to-extract-and-inherit-powers https://www.gameskinny.com/f5cwc/diablo-immortal-essence-transfer-how-to-extract-and-inherit-powers Wed, 08 Jun 2022 09:40:50 -0400 Joseph Rowe

A really cool feature of Diablo Immortal is the ability to transfer or inherit essence between one piece of legendary gear and give it to another. While you might really love the improved stats on one weapon, you may find you really want another power on your current gear, like the ability launches homing rockets when you strafe as a demon hunter.

How to Unlock Essence Transfer

To unlock essence transfer, you must first obtain two pieces of legendary gear of the same type. You will likely do this in the course of beating the main game, but it's not a guarantee. The odds of legendary items of any type dropping are very low.

You can earn legendaries either by grinding mobs, running dungeons, rifts, etc., or through rewards from the battle pass, log-in rewards, and possibly more later on (though that's what we have for now). If it takes a while to get legendaries, don't be discouraged; just keep playing and they'll eventually drop. That's just the nature of it.

After getting two pieces of the same type, an NPC in Westmarch named Zamina will allow you to use her extract and inherit services. She is located near the other merchants in Rakkis Plaza.

How to Extract and Inherit Powers

You will need any legendary piece of armor or weapon that you want to extract the power from. Its level doesn't matter. Take the item to Zamina, and she will extract its essence for a gold fee.

It is important to be aware that extracting the power from a legendary will completely destroy it: poof, that legendary no longer exists. However, you will be able to use its power, name, and appearance when you choose the inheriting legendary.

To inherit the powers of a previously destroyed legendary item, you use Zamina's inherit service. Unlike extracting, this does not cost any gold and can be done multiple times. This service will replace the inheriting weapon's appearance, name, and power.

Reset an Inherited Item

If you make a mistake while changing powers on your legendaries or if you simply want to change essences, you can easily reset an item that has inherited its power from another by talking to Zamina again and choosing to reset. This will revert its name, appearance, and power back to its original form and make it eligible to inherit a different power. You can do this as much as you want without any negative effects or costs.

That's it for our guide on extracting and inheriting powers in Diablo Immortal. For other guides, check out our Diablo Immortal tips hub.

Diablo Immortal: How to Change Difficulty https://www.gameskinny.com/bpjkq/diablo-immortal-how-to-change-difficulty https://www.gameskinny.com/bpjkq/diablo-immortal-how-to-change-difficulty Thu, 09 Jun 2022 09:58:38 -0400 Joseph Rowe

Diablo and similar series in its genre most often have an extremely high replayability factor due to their end-game progression, which involves replaying the game on a higher difficulty. Diablo Immortal is no different, and after unlocking the requirements, learning how to change the difficulty is pretty straightforward.

Why Should You Change the Difficulty in Diablo Immortal?

One of the biggest draws of this genre is the ability to earn powerful new armor sets, weapons, and skills. The main game, from start to finish, is usually just a taste of what's to come in the end game. The real fun doesn't start until you're grouping up with other players tackling your favorite boss on the Hell difficulties.

That's when the game's most challenging encounters and most powerful rewards become available. You can't get the best legendaries and end-game sets without grinding (or paying an insane amount of money).

Requirements for Changing the Difficulty

You must meet the following requirements to change the difficulty in Diablo Immortal:

  • Reach level 60.
  • Complete the main story quests.

These requirements will likely take you the longest time to finish, but they are worth doing anyway, since completing these quests gives an ample amount of exp.

How to Change Difficulty

Once you've met the requirements, you can boost the difficulty level. The end game difficulty is called Hell, and there are currently four levels that correspond to your paragon levels and the enemy monster combat rating.

To change the difficulty, you must enter Westmarch, open your map, and click the skull icon. From this menu, you can play on whatever level of Hell you have unlocked so far. For example, those who have just finished the Normal difficulty and are level 60 unlock Hell 1.

The different levels of Hell difficulty correspond to the paragon levels and monster combat ratings as follows:

  • Hell 1: Paragon Levels 1-60 and Monster Combat Rating 390.
  • Hell 2: Paragon Levels 30-130 and Monster Combat Rating 1190.
  • Hell 3: Paragon Levels 90-210 and Monster Combat Rating 2150.
  • Hell 4: Paragon Levels 160-300 and Monster Combat Rating 3270.

Paragon Levels

After hitting level 60, for every new level you reach, you gain a paragon level and paragon point instead of a base level.

Paragon levels are one of the ways of measuring your end-game abilities. The more paragon levels and points you have, the more you can flesh out your paragon skill trees. The allocation of paragon points depends on your class and your end-game build goal.

Combat Rating

Your combat rating is a measurement of your strength. A monster's combat rating is the same, well, for a monster. Your rating will be affected by things like armor and weapons, gems, and stat boosts unlocked through the Helliquary. The better your gear and gems, and the more stat boosts you have, the higher your combat rating will be, and you will be able to fight stronger enemies on higher difficulty levels.

You can check their combat rating by opening up their inventory, looking at their player attributes, and then clicking or touching the button labeled "more attributes."

That's it for our guide on how to change the difficulty in Diablo Immortal. Now you know how to unlock the option to change the difficulty, as well as how the paragon system and your combat rating affect it. Diablo Immortal: How to Change Screen Resolution on Mobile and Can It be Changed on PC? https://www.gameskinny.com/abie7/diablo-immortal-how-to-change-screen-resolution-on-mobile-and-can-it-be-changed-on-pc https://www.gameskinny.com/abie7/diablo-immortal-how-to-change-screen-resolution-on-mobile-and-can-it-be-changed-on-pc Mon, 06 Jun 2022 13:02:09 -0400 Serhii Patskan

Although Diablo Immortal has been primarily designed for mobile devices, Blizzard has made the game available on PC as well. Changing your screen resolution on mobile is a fairly straightforward affair, and we list how to do so below, but if you're playing the game on desktop, you may be wondering if it can be changed on that platform in a similar fashion.

Unfortunately, there is no option to change the game's resolution in the PC version of Diablo Immortal. It was reported that Blizzard has set the PC version of the game at 1080p by default, and this cannot be changed at the moment through normal means.

You have more options to change your FPS cap or V-Sync than in the mobile version, of course, but the closest thing to screen resolution that you can find on the PC version is the "Quality Selection" feature in the Image Accuracy menu.

It's possible that Blizzard will add the screen resolution options menu to the PC version with future patches, but there has been no official announcement of this yet. With that in mined, this guide will explain how to change resolution on mobile in Diablo Immortal

How to Change Resolution in Diablo Immortal on Mobile

As of now, the native option to change screen resolution in Diablo Immortal is only available on the mobile version of the game.

If you play Diablo Immortal on your phone or any other mobile device, then follow these steps to change your resolution:

  1. Go to "Settings" menu.
  2. Select "Graphics" feature.
  3. Go to "Image Accuracy" section.
  4. Choose one of the three available resolution settings:
    • Medium.
    • High.
    • Ultra.

That's all you need to know on how to change screen resolution on PC and mobile in Diablo Immortal. We'll update this guide if the same or similar options become available for desktop players in the future.

Diablo Immortal Trailer Released, Website Updated for ChinaJoy 2020 https://www.gameskinny.com/p3thr/diablo-immortal-trailer-released-website-updated-for-chinajoy-2020 https://www.gameskinny.com/p3thr/diablo-immortal-trailer-released-website-updated-for-chinajoy-2020 Tue, 04 Aug 2020 14:09:19 -0400 Ashley Shankle

The Chinese market-focused Diablo Immortal seems to be coming along just fine, based on an update of the official site showing off the game's visuals and classes.

Numerous gameplay clips give a look at the game's six very familiar classes; Diablo Immortal doesn't look to be trying to do anything new — but sometimes that's okay.

The game has been confirmed to included the Crusader, Demon Hunter, Barbarian, Necromancer, Wizard, and Monk classes that Diablo 3 players are familiar with, with each one having at least four skills and a basic attack.

Whether the game will have any sort of skill customization is yet unknown, as the official site currently only lists three skills for each.

Diablo Immortal's release date in any region is still a bit of a mystery and Blizzard themselves have not said much about the upcoming mobile title since its poorly-received reveal at Blizzcon 2018.

Could Diablo and Overwatch Be Getting TV Shows? https://www.gameskinny.com/7i5h7/could-diablo-and-overwatch-be-getting-tv-shows https://www.gameskinny.com/7i5h7/could-diablo-and-overwatch-be-getting-tv-shows Mon, 17 Feb 2020 16:32:02 -0500 Ty Arthur

After the success of the animated Castlevania and live-action Witcher series on Netflix, it shouldn't be much surprise that other games might start receiving similar treatment. Other studios are lining up behind Konami and CDPR to release adaptations of their most popular franchises in the near future.

While there's been no official confirmation from Activision Blizzard as of writing, a LinkedIn profile seems to have accidentally unveiled that both Diablo and Overwatch are getting their own shows soon.

According to the LinkedIn profile of Activision Blizzard Studios co-President Nick van Dyk, an anime version of Diablo is coming via Netflix, while Overwatch will get an animated show through a currently-unknown studio.

The relevant parts of the van Dyk's profile can be seen below, but he says he is the "executive producer of Diablo, a TV adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment's IP." He goes on to say that with his "creative partner," he "developed and sol an animated series based on Blizzard's Overwatch franchise."

It's worth noting that developing and selling a series does not mean that the series will actually get made into a television series. From the sound of it, the Diablo show is much closer to fruition than the Overwatch series, though that's purely speculation at this point.

While we wait for more news on the Overwatch and Diablo shows, an avalanche of high-quality video game adaptations are set to release over the next year. Aside from the recently-released Sonic The Hedgehog movie, we're gearing up for the impending Resident Evil live-action series, an animated Witcher film, and, of course, the second season of Henry Cavill's Netflix Witcher series.

We're expecting to have plenty more news about those latter three Netflix releases very soon, so check back often!

There hasn't been an actual gameplay trailer yet for Realm Of Champions, although it seems like a good bet we'll see more of the same brawler style as other mobile titles.

Diablo Immortal

\n\n

Very few people were initially stoked about the Blizzcon 2018 reveal of mobile title Diablo Immortal, since we were expecting a full fledged Diablo 4. Thankfully, that announcement came later, so there's something for the mobile crowd and the PC fans coming in the Diablo universe.

\n

Set between the second and third main entries in the series, Immortal will be a massively multiplayer take on the ARPG genre. Favorite old classes like Wizard, Barbarian, and Necromancer are set to return, along with newer entries from Diablo III like the Demon Hunter and Crusader.

GOG Adds Hellfire Expansion To Original Diablo https://www.gameskinny.com/99594/gog-adds-hellfire-expansion-to-original-diablo https://www.gameskinny.com/99594/gog-adds-hellfire-expansion-to-original-diablo Wed, 05 Jun 2019 13:16:16 -0400 Ty Arthur

Reaching back to its roots when the platform was still known as Good Old Games, digital gaming site GOG has been snapping up classic Blizzard titles lately that many thought would never be allowed on other platforms.

In recent months GOG added the original Warcraft: Orcs & Human and sequel Warcraft II: Battle.Net Edition as a bundle, as well as the first Diablo title, which spawned the entire action RPG genre.

When DIablo was first made available in March fans clamored for the unofficial Hellfire expansion, and GOG has now delivered. Hellfire is officially available for all owners of the base Diablo and features high resolution support as well as fixes to work better on Windows 10 systems.

GOG issued this announcement about the addition today:

Originally developed by Synergistic Software and released in 1997, Hellfire was not an official Blizzard product and did not carry Blizzard’s endorsement or label. Despite that, in response to Diablo players who have expressed a desire to experience the content, Blizzard has given the OK for it to be included as a free add-on with Diablo purchases on GOG.COM.

Hellfire offers a non-canonical single-player storyline where players must defeat a powerful demon named Na-Krul who is threatening Tristram. The expansion also adds a Monk class, new weapons and items, new missions, locations, dungeons, and enemies. Hellfire will be accessible while launching the original Diablo.

For those who haven't picked it up yet, the hack 'n slashing dose of nostalgia that is Diablo can now be bought for 10% off during GOG's summer sale.

Fans who aren't stoked about the news that the upcoming Diablo: Immortal will be a freemium mobile title can at least re-live the original game with its third party add-on now, but don't forget there are plenty of other quality Diablo clones out there these days!

If you didn't care for the direction of later titles, keep in mind that Grim Dawn is still going strong to scratch that classic ARPG itch, while Warhammer just go its own action RPG hack 'n slash title Chaosbane.

BlizzCon 2018: Blizzard Announced Diablo Immortal, A Mobile MMORPG https://www.gameskinny.com/xprmn/blizzcon-2018-blizzard-announced-diablo-immortal-a-mobile-mmorpg https://www.gameskinny.com/xprmn/blizzcon-2018-blizzard-announced-diablo-immortal-a-mobile-mmorpg Fri, 02 Nov 2018 18:15:05 -0400 QuintLyn

For the first time ever, Blizzard is giving fans of the Diablo franchies a chance to discover what happened in the 20 years between Diablo II and Diablo III. The company announced the first ever Diablo Mobile MMORPG: Diablo Immortal.

After all the rumors and speculation, Blizzard finally revealed exactly what it is they've been working on in the realm of Diablo during the BlizzCon 2018 opening ceremonies today. It wasn't necessarily what people were leaning toward in the speculation department, but it likely wasn't too surprising.

Diablo Immortal is a co-project that Blizzard's been working on for some time with Netease. It features a completely new story and many of the features players would expect from a multiplayer Diablo game.

Players can choose between six classes: Monk, Necromancer, Demon Hunter, Wizard, Barbarian, and Crusader. They'll be able to explore familiar locations like Westmarch and learn what went on there during the time between D2 and D3. In fact, Westmarch is Diablo Immortal's capital city.

The also game features shared public zones and 4-player instanced dungeons. Some of the game's content can be seen in the following gameplay video.

Judging from fan reactions during the Diablo: What's Next panel, Diablo Immortal may be a hard sell to long-time fans who are used to playing it on PC. There was some negative reaction when a player asked if there were plans to take the game to PC and the devs said no.

Of course, it may be a while before we find out how well the game does, since Blizzard has offered no release date and say it will be available "when it's done." That said, players can pre-register for the game on the Diablo Immortal site now.
