Sony announces PS Plus free games for March Wed, 24 Feb 2016 15:47:14 -0500 Eric Adams

Sony has announced their free games for March 2016. Of the notable games are Broforce and Galak-Z, available for PS4. The PlayStation blog has announced the full lineup of free games for PS4, PS Vita, and PS3. The other two games involved with the Vote to Play campaign, Android Cactus and Action Henk, will be discounted 30% from March 8th to March 21st for PS Plus members.

Broforce is a side scrolling shooter that allows you to play with three other friends. Think of the old TMNT or Simpsons arcade games. Galak-Z is a 2D shooter that puts you in control of a ship that blasts any and everything on the screen. Basically, if you liked asteroid or games like it, then you will love this.

There is still time to grab the February free games, so make sure to add those to your library. The free games for March will be available on March 1st via the PlayStation Store.

In Space We Brawl Can Run at 680 FPS on PS4 Fri, 24 Oct 2014 15:59:59 -0400 Brian Spaen

The developers for In Space We Brawl believe that the PS4 is perhaps too powerful for their new game.

In an interview with DualShockers, Forge Reply game designer Alessandro Mazzega praised the PS4 for being simple to launch the game on, and said that when they first opened up the game on Sony's console, the game scurried by at a rapid "680 frames per second."

...The first time they launched the game on the console at the studio it ran at 680 frames per second. They had to limit it because it was unplayable. He also added that for a 2D game like In Space We Brawl the console is maybe even too powerful.

Perhaps a robot could follow the game at nearly 700 frames per second, but we're glad that the developer decided to lower the FPS for the standard human. Obviously, Mazzega was having some fun with the constant debate over resolution and FPS in the console wars.

In Space We Brawl is a twin-stick shooter that has a focus on local four-player co-op. From the looks of the launch trailer (that can be viewed above), it looks like an evolution from Super Stardust HD and extremely fun to play.

The game is now available at the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS3 for $11.99.
