As a long time fan of the Warhammer franchise and the Total War franchise, it doesn't surprise me that the blending of the two has made a huge splash in the gaming community. A splash that, according to Creative Assembly, was to the tune of half a million sales in the first few days -- surpassing any other in the Total War franchise history.

Total War: Warhammer was released on Steam on March 24th 2016, and marks a huge departure for the series, which has had a rough time in recent years. Total War: Rome 2 struggled with release bugs and a lackluster campaign mode that was never quite fixed. It was also the beginning of Creative Assembly's love affair with paid DLC. This was, and still is, a hot topic for most fans of the series.

Total War: Attila was a much better game in many ways, but continued the DLC business model that frustrated many fans. The pre-order of Total War: Warhammer included the "Chaos Warriors" DLC for free. It will also be free of charge for those of us that purchased the game on Steam during the first week. After that, it's not clear how much it will cost. One thing seems apparent though; the paid DLC business model is here to stay.

The pairing of the series with the Warhammer franchise appears to be just what the doctor ordered for Creative Assembly. With such high sales, it makes me wonder if this will be a new direction for the series going forward or if they will return to their historical roots at some point in the future. Only time will tell. Until then, at least a half of a million of us can sit back and enjoy the ride.

Only a few days left for the Humble SEGA Strategy Bundle https://www.gameskinny.com/lbnpj/only-a-few-days-left-for-the-humble-sega-strategy-bundle https://www.gameskinny.com/lbnpj/only-a-few-days-left-for-the-humble-sega-strategy-bundle Fri, 01 Apr 2016 03:04:13 -0400 Chrisator

There are only a few days left until the SEGA strategy bundle sale ends its offer for some great games at quite a bargain. If you're not familiar with the Humble Bundle sales, they offer a set tier of games for a variety of prices, and with the purchase of each tier you also gain access to the previous one. This in turn means you can buy a stack of 12 games for as low as $12 total. You also get to send a portion of your spending to a charity of your choosing, making it a worthwhile experience all around.

The SEGA bundle, which ends on April 5th, includes well known-games such as Company of Heroes, Total War: Attila and Warhammer 40k. For a full dropdown of the sale, check out the screenshot below.

The top two games on offer, Total War: Attila and Company of Heroes 2: Master Collection, normally go for around $40 and $30 respectively, making this a pretty big steal overall! So whether you're itching for some WWII style RTS action, or have been waiting for the newest Total War game to go on sale, this is your chance for a great bargain.

Slavic Nations Culture Pack is out now for Total War: Attila https://www.gameskinny.com/y8vs6/slavic-nations-culture-pack-is-out-now-for-total-war-attila https://www.gameskinny.com/y8vs6/slavic-nations-culture-pack-is-out-now-for-total-war-attila Sat, 27 Feb 2016 07:16:44 -0500 Alec Pearce

Creative Assembly has released their 8th paid expansion pack, the Slavic Nations Culture Pack, for Total War: Attila.

The add-on brings three new factions; the Anteans, the Sclavenians, and the Venedians, bringing us up to the time the Roman Empire fell. It also adds several new gameplay features that are exclusive to the newcomers.

As mentioned in the spotlight video (featured above) the Slavic nations bring with them the following additions:

  • New cultural group
  • New religious group
  • New campaign mechanics
  • Unique victory conditions
  • Unique events
  • Unique units

Each of the new factions have their own distinctive play styles and will differ from each other in diplomacy, campaign strategy and combat; each with their own strengths and weaknesses. They also do not suffer from attrition in the snow which means they can develop towns and cities anywhere they please.

In addition; for the first time ever in Total War history, victory on the campaign map is achieved by building Slavic 'wonders', i.e. buildings of huge national significance. As stated in the video:

These wonders are both difficult to achieve and to maintain but also offer an array of provincial and faction wide benefits.

The Slavic Nations Culture Pack is available for download right now on Steam for £5.99.

1. StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void

\n

Released: November 10, 2015
Developer: Blizzard Entertainment
Battle.net link

\n

This final chapter in the StarCraft saga is well designed for both newcomers and veterans of the series. For those who haven’t played the previous games at all or simply have forgotten what happened in the previous episodes of the story there is a great introductory cutscene in the Legacy of the Void, covering all the twists and turns of the plot, bringing everything together in the storyline of the Protoss.

\n

Throughout a single campaign walkthrough you can change the types of units and their abilities in each mission.  Also, the side objectives are now as important as the main missions and at times these side missions are even worth taking due to the rewards you receive after accomplishing them.

\n

Of course, the single-player campaign is a true pleasure, but what makes Legacy of the Void really stand out is an excellent multiplayer mode. The first thing worth noting is Archon mode, an additional function for cooperative battles in Ranked and Unranked games. It only works if you play with a friend on the same team. Another important feature of the multiplayer is random tournaments. Every two hours throughout the day players are invited to participate in any tournament with a pre-specified set of rules. This adds an extra fun bit to an already perfect game.

\n

Legacy of the Void lifts the whole series to new heights. StarCraft II is once again above any other competitor this year, and it continues to grow offering players an excellent storyline and interesting co-op mode that improves with every expansion. Therefore, since the best RTS has now become even better there is every reason to check it out.

2. Homeworld Remastered Collection

\n

Released: February 25, 2015
Developer: Gearbox Software
Steam link

\n

Gearbox Software has done some impressive work on this remastered collection of the first two Homeworld games, originally released in 1999 and 2003. Everything from models and textures to rendering and effects was adapted for high definition screens. On top of that, Gearbox implemented a multiplayer mode, which can handle up to eight players online.

\n

The developers didn’t limit themselves to the visual side of things, but carefully reconfigured the basics of the game mechanics. First, the new unified interface is now much more convenient than the previous versions. Second, the basic gameplay of the original Homeworld has been shifted to resemble Homeworld 2, which entailed a number of significant changes.

\n

Now, there are plenty of resources in space and there is no need for a massive thievery of the enemy ships. Research now requires investments, and small ships like the fighters and bombers no longer require constant refueling, as fuel is completely eliminated from the game. All this means that both Homeworld games are now more alike than ever before.

\n

Homeworld and Homeworld 2 are two great games that are really noteworthy. They rightfully earned the place in the video gaming history alongside such iconic titles like C&C and Starcraft.

3. Total War: Attila

\n

Released: February 17, 2015
Developer: Creative Assembly
Steam link

\n

Total War: Attila, also jokingly known as Total War: Rome 2.1, is a new game from Creative Assembly enriched with new mechanics designed to convey the specifics of the migration and the formation of the hordes. They also enhanced siege mechanics and diplomatic and political opportunities.

\n

Since the Total War games have a huge community of fans, it was an obvious choice for the developers to continue the series after they successfully released Alien: Isolation. The new game is set in the Dark Ages, the period after the Roman Empire split into two parts.

\n

There are ten factions to choose from and you need to manage their relationships by waging wars or keeping the peace for as long as possible through diplomacy. Concerning gameplay mechanics there's not much that has been changed, as you still have two basic interfaces for turn-based strategy and real-time combat.

\n

This may not be the best game for new players to start with, as the campaign requires controlling a huge amount of different aspects of politics, diplomacy, city building and sustaining armies. Other than that, the challenging campaigns will fully satisfy the needs of those already familiar with the game.

4. Age of Wonders III - Eternal Lords

\n

Released: April 14, 2015
Developer: Triumph Studios
Steam link

\n

Those who are familiar with Age of Wonders series know that this game is similar to Sid Meier’s Civilization where players focus on building cities and finding resources, but in a fantasy setting filled with dragons and magic powers.

\n

This year’s expansion for Age of Wonders III - Eternal Lords adds a lot of new features, such as three new characters in the form of Frostling, Tigran and Necromancer bringing the total to seven (if you have both original game and the previous expansion - Golden Realms), treasure sites, new equipment, bonus abilities, diplomacy, etc.

\n

It is especially fun to play as a Necromancer, as his undead ghouls don’t care about reputation and, most importantly, don’t reproduce naturally. So, the most reliable way to increase the population is start a war, you know, to keep the flow of fresh corpses coming. Everything else, like set of spells, skills, and units are very impressive and original, as well.

\n

Age of Wonders III - Eternal Lords is a true fantasy kingdom simulator in the form of 4X turn-based strategy. And, we really hope this is not going to be the final expansion for the game.

5. Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide

\n

Released: October 9, 2015
Developer: Firaxis Games
Steam link

\n

Rising Tide is a huge expansion to Civilization: Beyond Earth, a part of an already well-established strategy games series – Sid Meier’s Civilization. Last year’s Beyond Earth was a critical success, but not all players appreciated the game as much as the critics. So, the developers decided to fix the inconsistencies in the gameplay that fans were so concerned about.

\n

The title Rising Tide derives from the main focus of the DLC – a colonization of the seas through the naval battles. Now, you can build your cities on the surface of the water and even move them to the desired locations.

\n

The new diplomacy system is also quite intriguing. It includes alliance management and diplomatic capital. Of course, this adds a whole new layer to the gameplay experience, but also creates more pressure. The AI has become more responsive and really gives you a sense of cooperation with your neighbors.

\n

Overall, if you liked Civilization V, but were not intrigued by Beyond Earth, you can safely try Rising Tide, as this is exactly the kind of Civilization game the fans have been waiting for. It fills a significant number of gaps in the gameplay.

6. Mordheim: City of the Damned

\n

Released: November 19, 2015
Developer: Rogue Factor
Steam link

\n

Mordheim: City of the Damned is another Warhammer board game adaptation. Here, you can switch between two view modes: you can play your character from a third-person perspective and manage everything else as a turn-based strategy with the help of an overhead camera.

\n

There are four warbands in the game; each band has its leader, heroes and henchmen. Respectively, there are four campaigns dedicated to each warband, including various side-quests. The main objective of the game is to eliminate all enemy units.

\n

It’s a hard game and requires a lot of focus. Make one wrong move and you'll have to start again. In this respect, Mordheim: City of the Damned sticks closely to the roots of its board game original. The visual side of the game, albeit its limited characteristics, is quite atmospheric and provides a sense of constant dread.

\n

If you enjoy the universe of Warhammer and yearn for a new tactical strategy that is demanding and unforgiving, then check Mordheim out.

7. Grey Goo

\n

Released: January 23, 2015
Developer: Petroglyph Games
Steam link

\n

This year started with the release of an excellent real-time strategy game - Grey Goo. The players are presented with three diverse races, the ability to develop bases, mine resources, build armies and fight in epic battles.

\n

The game takes some of the core ideas of the Command & Conquer series and introduces some of its own concepts as well. The pace of gameplay depends on the chosen tactics and the level of intellect of your opponent.

\n

Finding resources on the map may become a bit of a chore, as there aren’t that many spots with really valuable stuff. Usually, the side that disposes of their resources in the most effective way wins. The sense of control increases drastically throughout the game: in time you will be able to manage a whole army and not just individual units.

\n

Unfortunately, Grey Goo has too many competitors this year that are better. But it offers challenge and complexity that every old-school strategy fan is looking for.

8. Blood Bowl 2

\n

Released: September 22, 2015
Developer: Cyanide
Steam link

\n

Blood Bowl 2 is a fantasy version of American football and the PC version of the famous two-player turn-based board game Blood Bowl by Games Workshop that involves the characters from the Warhammer universe.

\n

The original Blood Bowl was released in 2009 and since then the developers have significantly upgraded graphics and made a big step toward attracting new players by introducing a training mode with the plot. The game has a total of eight races to choose from and an excellent PvP multiplayer mode.

\n

The gameplay is fairly simple: you need to manage players and try to score as many touchdowns as you can. On top of that, you are allowed to hit and kill your opponents on the field, bribe judges, etc. Each of the playable races has its own attitude and tactics .

\n

The developers promise to add more new races, fix errors, and generally support the project for a long time. Blood Bowl 2 is a unique game - you will either fall in love with it and become a huge fan, or absolutely reject the unusual gameplay mechanics. It’s a niche product and that is why it is so valuable to its core audience.

9. Satellite Reign

\n

Released: August 28, 2015
Developer: 5 Lives Studios
Steam link

\n

Satellite Reign is an ideological follow-up, a modern remake of Syndicate and Syndicate Wars – tactical cyberpunk classics. The basic principles and mechanics of the game have not changed. Besides tactics there is also a strategic component: saving money, kidnapping prototypes, hiring scientists to conduct research, and obtaining new types of equipment, weapons, gadgets and various implants.

\n

You control four characters from an isometric perspective and each character has its own specific abilities. Satellite Reign features an open world that is rich and detailed with impeccable cyberpunk aesthetics.

\n

The first few hours may seem difficult, as your abilities are extremely limited, but if you can make it past this early stage of the game, you will be immensely rewarded with a huge variety of missions to come. The story is deep and meaningful, as you’re trying to make your way through different obstacles in order to steal the drug of immortality.

\n

This is indeed a cyberpunk game by-the-book that is worth investing many hours of your free time into -- if that’s what you’re looking for. Let's hope that the developers will keep updating the game and add new features. They have already revealed that they are working on a co-operative multiplayer mode.

10. Sorcerer King

\n

Released: July 16, 2015
Developer: Stardock Games
Steam link

\n

Sorcerer King is the fourth attempt by Stardock Games to release a fantasy-based 4X-strategy and this is their best game yet. This time it’s not just another add-on to Elemental: War of Magic, Fallen Enchantress or Legendary Heroes, but instead is a original game with an updated visual style.

\n

The game features an asymmetric gameplay with six available characters and an editor allowing you to customize your own skills. The developers managed to combine various game mechanics, achieve a good balance, and still make everything quite simple.

\n

You start with one city and a couple of soldiers and grow from there. Your main task is to prevent the Sorcerer King’s army from destroying the crystal shards scattered around the kingdom. On your journey you will have an opportunity to explore lots of caves and dungeons, and earn your stats. You will also be involved in diplomatic relationships with other cities, so there’s much more to this game than just pillaging.

\n

Sorcerer King is a perfect introduction for those who want to discover a turn-based strategy genre for themselves. Probably, veterans won’t see too many interesting things here, but if you like Heroes of Might and Magic series, then this game is worth checking out.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (TBA)

\n

Acclaimed developer, Naughty Dog, is ready to strike again with another big game. After the unbelievable success of The Last of Us, a game that many would argue was the best game of the last generation of consoles, they are returning with the next installment in the Uncharted series.

\n

The game is set after the events of Uncharted 3 and still does not have a release date, but is anticipated to launch in 2015.

\n

Look for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End for PlayStation 4.

Tom Clancy's The Division (TBA)

\n

The Division was another amongst the many titles that was delayed. It appears that the challenges of the new console generation have hit developers harder than they expected. Earlier this year, Ubisoft announced that The Division would be pushed back to 2015, so hopefully it doesn't get pushed back sooner.

\n

This is a new series for the Tom Clancy games. The success of some of their big IPs, such as Ghost Recon, has dropped over the last few years and The Division has a lot of potential to help bring the name back into the mainstream shooter world. It will be played in an MMO type setting, the first game of the type in the Tom Clancy series.

\n

Look for Tom Clancy's The Division on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and potentially the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The Legend of Zelda (TBA)

\n

There has still been no official subtitle for the newest installment in The Legend of Zelda. At this point, we are pretty much just praying that we can avoid the inevitable The Legend of Zelda for Wii U or The Legend of Zelda U titles that Nintendo is throwing around these days. After Super Smash Bros. it is looking all the more likely.

\n

The big focus for this new installment is to give players more freedom by having less defined, bottle-necked zone changes and temple entrances. There is an ongoing discussion among the community about whether the format of the game is truly open-world, but you will have to wait until the game releases to make your own decision on the matter.

Look for The Legend of Zelda for Wii U.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (TBA)

\n

Unfortunately, all we know right now is that The Phantom Pain will be releasing in 2015. We do not year have an indication of when in 2015 it will release, but at least 2015 is a start.

\n

We have already had a sneak peak into Metal Gear Solid V with Ground Zeroes, released back in March of this year. Many people were stunned by the fact that it took the average player about 45 minutes to an hour to beat the main storyline for Ground Zeroes, but the gameplay was solid, nonetheless.

\n

After the outstanding success of Metal Gear Solid 4, it is looking like Hideo Kojima could keep the ball rolling with another excellent installment next year.

Halo 5: Guardians (TBA - Q3/Q4)

\n

At the time of writing this article, neither 343 Studios nor Microsoft Studios have announced an official release date for Halo 5. It could very easily be delayed until 2016, but lets keep our fingers crossed for that late 2015 date.

\n

For Guardians, 343 has elected to try and bring Halo back to its strong roots by bringing back a heavier focus on the multiplayer aspect, and what made multiplayer so great in the beginning of the series.

\n

Look for Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One.

Batman: Arkham Knight (June 2)

\n

Remember when the Arkham games were phenomenal? After many people were unsatisfied with Batman: Arkham Origins, some people questioned the future of the series. Well good news, Rocksteady Studios is back and Arkham is looking as good as ever.

\n

By not releasing to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Rocksteady has been able to include several features that they claimed they were not able to include with the last-gen consoles, including driving the Batmobile.

\n

Look for Batman: Arkham Knight on June 2 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Mortal Kombat X (April 14)

\n

Many would say that Mortal Kombat has stood the test of time better than any other fighting game. While games like Tekken and StreetFighter were top rivals years ago, they do not compete as well anymore on the sales charts as they used to.

\n

One thing that helps make Mortal Kombat such a promising time is the company's patience. Unlike many mainstream games these days, we are not seeing new installments being released annually. NetherRealm has opted to take a quality over quantity approach, similar to Rockstar Games. The consistent success of the Grand Theft Auto series proves how successful that approach can be in terms of quality.

\n

Look for Mortal Kombat X on April 14 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Battlefield: Hardline (March 17)

\n

Hardline is one of the many games that has been delayed recently and, might I add, probably for good reason. After the devastating, bug-ridden launch of Battlefield 4 late last year, I don't think anybody would mind if they took the extra time to make sure we did not see that happen again.

\n

This installment to the series is a bit of a new direction for Battlefield, or for any of the mainstream shooters these days. Instead of the typical war scene, Hardline is set in a cops and robbers-type scenario. Looking at gameplay and the open beta, the true heart of the Battlefield has remained unaffected, only a twist has been added to it.

\n

It may be an important note for some of you that this game's primary developer is not DICE, it is Visceral Games.

\n

Look for Battlefield: Hardline on March 17 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (February 24)

\n

For those of you Elder Scrolls fans that cannot wait any longer for the sixth installment, I urge you to take a look at The Witcher 3. It is another open-world action role-playing game set in a world that is claimed to be an "open world larger than any other in modern RPG history."

\n

It is expected to take approximately 100 hours to complete The Witcher 3, with 50 hours of that being on main story and 50 on side quests. It seems that there is a much stronger focus on the main story than in Skyrim.

\n

Look for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on February 24 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Evolve (February 10)

\n

Remember Valve's big co-operative shooter, Left 4 Dead? Well, the developers behind the acclaimed game, Turtle Rock Studios, are back with their first big game since then, Evolve. These ex-Valve developers have since moved on and joined up with publishing company, 2K Games.

\n

Turtle Rock has not abandoned their love for co-operative gameplay, Evolve will be heavily focused on four-player games in which you fight all kinds of enemies, including some large bosses.

\n

Look for Evolve on February 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The End of 2014

\n

I think most would say 2014 has been a fairly successful year for gaming. After the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One released late 2013, we were able to use 2014 to finally get a decent collection of games for the new consoles; however, it has only just begun.

\n

It is looking like 2015 will be the year we finally see what these consoles are truly capable of, so let's take a quick look at some of the most anticipated games of the upcoming year.

Sega Announces Total War: Attila For 2015 https://www.gameskinny.com/zc2oc/sega-announces-total-war-attila-for-2015 https://www.gameskinny.com/zc2oc/sega-announces-total-war-attila-for-2015 Fri, 26 Sep 2014 15:50:04 -0400 Brian Spaen

Sega officially announced the next game in their Total War franchise, Total War: Attila, coming out on PC and Mac in February 2015.

Attila is the ninth installment of the Total War series. The hybrid of turn-based strategy with real-time tactical elements takes place after the events of Total War: Rome II as the Dark Ages approach, according to the press release.

In the great steppes of Scythia, a vast and terrifying force gathers, led by a warrior king whose thirst for conquest is utterly unequalled. The Scourge of God, the very herald of the apocalypse, Attila the Hun.

Total War: Rome II sales and reception

Total War has been a bigger hit in Europe than the United States, but the series' latest installment, Rome II, has been the biggest commercial success. It already outsold all the previous releases on its first day thanks to a huge volume of preorders. As of this spring, that game sold 1.13 million copies in Europe and North America combined.

Gamers may be a little bit skeptical this time around. Rome II was plagued with a large number of technical bugs and glitches such as installation issues, crashing, broken AI, and consistently poor game performance. Commentors of various articles posting about the announcement are a little worried that this is more of an expansion because of when and where it takes place, and Sega is selling it as a full price game.

What are your thoughts surrounding the announcement of Total War: Attila? Will you be preordering the game despite some early worries?

My Top 5 Hyped Games of 2015...So Far https://www.gameskinny.com/962b0/my-top-5-hyped-games-of-2015so-far https://www.gameskinny.com/962b0/my-top-5-hyped-games-of-2015so-far Thu, 01 Jan 2015 17:41:22 -0500 Zach Long

The New Year just hit and a lot of great games that were supposed to be released in 2014 were moved to 2015. These five games are the games that I'm looking forward to in the new year, at least right now. I'm sure E3 and other such events will change my mind and add to the list, not to mention the many indie titles that will come out of nowhere and dominate my gaming time. Enough gibber gabber, let's get on with it.

Total War: Atilla

I have been a fan of the series since Rome: Total War came out in 2004. That’s fourteen years of my life playing those games. I lost interest a couple years ago with some of the new iterations but with the release of Rome: Total War 2 last year it reinvigorated the series for me. It’s probably up there with my most-played games of last year.

If Total War: Atilla builds upon the great improvements of Rome then it’s going to take up many hours of my time in 2015. It looks very good but they do make some nice trailers. Hopefully it’ll be well-balanced and still very challenging like its predecessors. I’ll be keeping an eye on this game as it gets closer to release on February 17th.

Mortal Kombat X

I’ve never been much of a Mortal Kombat fan but I have played every version they’ve come out with. They’re fun games with gruesome content and awesome moves, I just happen to suck at fighting games. The trailer they showed at E3 was really well done. If the game plays anything like the trailer showed, then I’m stoked. I’ll purchase it and play it until I realize I suck and only play it against my six-year-old nephew and any friends I know I can beat. We'll find out how many times I can get murdered as Sub-Zero April 14th.

Evolve

If you haven’t heard of this game in the last year, you’ve probably been under a rock and should look it up. The basic concept is intriguing to me. Four vs One. As long as they keep adding in more varied monsters and new classes for the humans, this game will quickly become a highly competitive game. The only thing that might keep me from getting it day one is that I don’t relish playing co-op heavy games with random strangers. But, if more of my friends get PS4s(my platform of choice) then I’ll probably pick it up right away. Plus, I suppose I could just work on being a killer monster. My friends better hurry up because this game hits shelves and digital release on February 10th.

Batman: Arkham Knight

The Arkham games are probably the best of the genre in years. The combat, the story, the stealth, the gadgets, and the look and feel of the game made it a quick critic and commercial success. Arkham Knight is the final iteration made by Rocksteady. Two major things have me really interested in this particular game. First is the addition of the Batmobile. This means that not only is the map large enough to need a vehicle but it adds a completely new way to combat the criminals of the Arkhamverse. The second and probably one of the main reasons is the story. With **Spoiler Alert**(and if you don’t know you should probably immediately buy the games and beat them and then finish this portion of this article) Joker dead Harley might step up and become a true villainess as opposed to just a side-kick. Take her revenge story and add in a brand new villain created by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee, not to mention the return of Scarecrow. It’s looking to be a brutal game and an excellent finale to Rocksteady’s trilogy. Look forward to playing it on June 2nd.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I’m going to confess something right now, I’ve never completed the other Witcher games. I own both, but haven’t been able to beat the first because of the odd combat system, as much as I enjoyed the story the combat ruined it for me. The second one improved on the combat and I got much farther, I just had too much other stuff going on to complete it. I plan to before Wild Hunt comes out.

With the content CD Projekt Red is aiming for it looks like it might finally compete with Skyrim(my favorite game of all time). With a fully open world, minimum load scenes, unique features, an intuitive and fluid combat system, and story events that actually effect the landscape and people, it is looking to quickly reach the Game of the Year slot on my list. I guess we’ll find out May 19th, assuming that it doesn’t get pushed back again(but don’t rush it CD Projekt Red, release it when you’re comfortable, we don’t need another incomplete game fiasco like other companies had in 2014).
