How Many Times should you play the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Special Demo?

The new Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Special Demo counts how many times you clear it. So what number should you be aiming for?

I downloaded the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Special Demo this afternoon and beat the first task easily – ditto the second. It wasn’t until Stephen told me that this was our seventh meeting that I began to wonder “How many times do I need to beat this?”

To obtain the mega-evolution Pokemon Glalie you only need to beat this special demo once. After that you can contently wait for the release of Pokemon ORAS to transfer Glalie to your game.

For those of you, like myself, who want to milk all the goodies possible out of this demo, you’ll need to play the demo 10 times

  • First round: Glalie
  • Third round: Poke Balls
  • Fifth round: Heal Balls
  • Tenth round: Heart Scales

On the rounds when you don’t earn items, interesting NPC characters will show up in Mossdeep city. You’ll find old favorites Gym Leaders like Brawly, and other powerful trainers as well.

There is a secret area in the game (spoilers here) but it is currently unknown how to trigger the event, beyond just playing repeatedly. In other words, if you don’t trigger it within the first 10 games, it might not be worth waiting around.
