Unless Franklin is trolling us, we this new post on Instagram could hint at the character's return to GTA V

A new Instagram post by Shawn Fonteno, who played Franklin in GTA V, has emerged online. And unless it’s an old picture, he could be hinting that some more story content for the game is on the way.

The picture shows Fonteno in full motion capture gear at what appears to be the Rockstar offices. Which means its possible that Franklin will be making an appearance at some point in the near future.

Rockstar has been behind schedule on almost every promise that it has made for GTA V since it was released in 2012. The rocky launch of GTA Online caused the company to refocus its efforts on that service and put everything else on the backburner. This resulted in a massive delay for the much-anticipated online heists. Originally planned for 2014, Rockstar also promised that they intended to release a story DLC for the game, but decided to push it back in favor of dedicating their staff to GTA Online.

Of course, if this turns out to be true, Rockstar will have to go ahead with the DLC without developer Leslie Benzies at the helm. The former president of Rockstar North and producer every entry in the Grand Theft Auto series since GTA III has decided not to return to the company after taking an extended sabbatical.
