New Resident Evil Resistance Diabolical Masterminds Revealed

Capcom reveals two new villains for Resident Evil Resistance. One uses fiendish traps, while another controls deadly bioweapons.

The upcoming Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake will feature more than just a re-imagined version of the main campaign. A full asymmetric, 4v1 survival horror game called Resistance is also set to launch as part of the Resident Evil 3 release on April 3.

Today we learned a bit more about what to expect from Resident Evil Resistance, as two new Masterminds the evil baddies trying to thwart the Survivors from escaping were just revealed.

Both Alex Wesker and Ozwell E. Spencer join the cast of evil Masterminds, which also includes Daniel Fabron (who can control Tyrant), and Annette Birkin (co-creator of the G virus). Here’s what Capcom had to say about the new additions:

Alex’s play style puts an emphasis on using traps, while also manipulating the map to slow Survivors down with roadblocks and enhanced zombies. As if these were not intimidating enough, when Alex gets really serious, she can call upon a vicious carnivorous plant called Yateveo.

Enjoying his position as one of Umbrella Corporation’s founders, Ozwell uses the company’s cutting edge technology to torment Survivors. Unlike other Masterminds who summon controllable bioweapons, Ozwell instead generates a Disintegration Field that severely damages any Survivor who haplessly passes through it.

Aside from those two new Mastermind reveals, we also discovered that both a Casino and Abandoned Park level have been added to the Resistance map rotation.

You can join the terrible experiments as either a diabolical Mastermind or terrified Survivor when Resistance releases for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.

Considering the success of the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake, an RE3 remake was a no-brainer for Capcom. The survival-horror game did end up selling millions of copies
