Can't decide which classes to pick for your South Park: The Fractured But Whole playthrough? Don't worry, this guide will show you which ones are the best.

Since the launch of South Park: The Fractured But Whole, the question of which class is the game's best has been (and is still being) actively debated in the gaming community -- and it's only been out for a few days!

The truth is that the classes in SP:TFBW are very different, and it's really hard to pinpoint one single best class. However, some of the classes are objectively more powerful than others, and if you want to know what they are, then keep on reading our SP: TFBW class guide to find out.

Some of you may completely disagree with the given choices, but if you care about the right choice for yourself, then you should look out for the classes that fit your personal playstyle the most.

Class: Elementalist

  • Abilities: Sand Trap, Ice Prison, Hydro Helper, Elemental Onslaught
  • Primary Attribute: Brains
  • Secondary Attribute: Spunk

This Fractured But Whole class is definitely the most unusual class in the game. Using weather-based status effects, the Elementalist can easily deal with multiple enemies at the same time. Sand Trap and Ice Prison are some of its best abilities that not only delay enemy attacks but also do some well-rounded damage.

But nothing comes close to the Elementalists ultimate ability -- the Elemental Onslaught. This ultimate gathers the powers of all elements and hits the enemies with Shock and Chill effects.

If you're looking for the best support class in The Fractured But Whole, then make sure to pick up the Elementalist.

Class: Martial Artist

  • Abilities: Dragon Force Punch, Dragon Dance, Dragon Reversal, Dragon Swagger
  • Primary Attribute: Brawn
  • Secondary Attribute: N/A

Just as the name of the class implies, Martial Artist is all about combat damage in TFBW. Want to send your enemies into the far corner of the screen? Then, hit them with the Martial Artist's Force Punch. Need to deal with two or more opponents at once? Activate this class' Dragon Dance and scare the hell out of them.

At times, when danger is too real and you need to protect yourself (because it does happen from time to time), then the ultimate Dragon Swagger will inflict Enrage effect on all enemies. It will give you a powerfully protective shield, making it impossible to receive any damage during the shield's duration.

Class: Assassin

  • Abilities: Quick Cut, Spin Slash, Shadow Swap, Deadly Dive
  • Primary Attribute: Brawn/Spunk
  • Secondary Attribute: N/A

The Fractured But Whole's Assassin is a complicated class that is hard to master, and that is why it is one of the best. Bleeding and Invisible status effects are at the core of this class' abilities, and if used correctly, they can quickly finish the fight in your favor.

Speaking of strategy, don't try to fight in a usual hit-and-back-out way with the Assassin class, but try to Spin Slash any and all enemies around you with your blades -- then instantly go invisible. Doing this will allow you to inflict bleed damage on your enemies and stay hidden until they bleed out.

Class: Plantmancer

  • Abilities: Purifying Petals, Sweet Scent, Root Burst, Nature's Gift
  • Primary Attribute: Spunk/Brains
  • Secondary Attribute: N/A

If you play RPGs, there is no doubt that you're already well familiar with Charm effects turning enemies into allies. Well, Plantmancer is the FTBW class that will let you perform similar tricks on your enemies.

Why would you fight if you can make your enemies fight instead, right? But that's not it! Plantmancer is the only Fractured But Whole class capable of reviving other friendly characters using the Nature's Gift ability.

And the animation of the effect is a sight to behold, so definitely try it out when you get the chance.

Class: Gadgeteer

  • Abilities: Boom-Boom Buddy, Straight Shooter, Gigavolt Globe, Airborne Annihilator
  • Primary Attribute: Brains
  • Secondary Attribute: N/A

Gadgeteer never fights on its own, instead it crafts all sorts of weird gadgetz that do the job of killing and protecting. For example, the Straight Shooter ability crafts a turret that hits all the enemies within its radius, while Boom-Boom Buddy sets up an explosive dummy.

The ultimate for the Gadgeteer class, Airborne Annihilator, calls up an advanced drone that no enemy will ever be able to withstand. Obviously, with such powerful tools in its hands, the Gadgeteer is easily one of the very best classes in South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
