Injustice (Mobile) - Challenge Mode for Aquaman!
I've reported on all the past Injustice Challenge Modes from Batgirl up to Raven, and I've always loved finding out who is next on the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster.
But, let's be honest. Aquaman?
The poor guy is the single most abused and disrespected member of the JLA and often the punchline of jokes ranging from Robot Chicken to Family Guy. Still, the folks at NetherRealms have definitely made the console version of the Atlantean/Human hybrid on par with his fellow superhumans. So, maybe it's the same for the iOS version.
Once More into the Breech
To add the King of Atlantis to your roster, complete 63 battles in Injustice's 3 vs 3 combat. The first rounds are fairly easy, but it will get tougher as you go.
Each battle costs Challenge Currency, which are earned in regular play or purchased in the Item Shop.
There are five series of challenges. For each you complete after the first two, you win a prize. So, you don't need to complete them all to win something.
For each set of battles you win, you get a part of Aquaman's gear (Trident, Shark, Belt, Squid, Nautilus). If you win all five challenges, then a Gold Level Aquaman is added to your collection.
- 24 Fights Won - Free Bronze Booster Pack (worth 8,000 credits)
- 36 Fights Won - +15,000 Power Credits
- 48 Fights Won - Free Silver Booster Pack (worth 35,000 credits)
You have 10 days to complete the challenge, starting now (Oct. 10th).
"I know what you and Superman called for! But the oceans do not answer your calls. I am the king of the sea and I will protect it." - Arthur Curry aka Aquaman
Get The Hell out of My Ocean!
In the Injustice universe, Aquaman is pulled into the alternate realm and discovers his counterpart in that world working for the Regime and planning on surrendering control of the world's oceans to Superman.
After defeating the Regime Aquaman, the displaced Aquaman joins up with Batman and Lex Luthor's Insurgency.
In the Injustice comics, Aquaman is determined to not let Atlantis be subjugated, but also does not want to become involved in the conflict. At least, at first.
Despite the satire and ribbing given to the man who shares the same powers as Spongebob, Aquaman swings a mean trident and can bring the wrath of the seas down on his opponent's head. It will be curious to see how his abilities will play out in the mobile game, since the environment is NOT interactive as is the console version.
