Assassin’s Creed: Brahman was announced at Comic-Con San Diego.

It is being released by Ubi Workshop.

It is following an Assassin called Arbaaz Mir, and is set in 18th century India.

Story

The story is about Arbaaz Mir being deeply involved in a fight with a powerful dictator who has taken over his land, and enslaved his people. He must choose between following the Creed of the Brotherhood, or taking personal vengeance. He will be connected to an Abstergo programmer Jot Soora, who possibly is one of the descendants of Arbaaz Mir.

Interview with the creators

Brenden Fletcher on the influences

“I can say without reservation that this comic book is strongly inspired by the films of Stanley Kubrick. We wanted to do something different – tell a type of story never before seen in the Assassin’s Creed universe – and touch on corners of the brand not yet explored by the video games. Brahman answers a lot of questions and opens a ton of new doors. Fans who want to know what the future holds for Assassin’s Creed beyond Back Flag would be advised to give it a read! Hint! Hint!”

Karl Kerlsch on the influences

“We’re also taking a lot of cues from anime, science fiction and future tech. There’s stuff in this book that you’d never expect to see in an Assassin’s Creed story.”

Karl Kerlsch later says:

I spent some time in Bangalore and Mumbai a few years ago and it’s informed a lot of setting in our present-day story. Unfortunately, I never made it north. I’ll have to save that for a future trip.

Brahman is set to be out around the same time as Black Flag.

The PC version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has been delayed until later, no surprise there. The console release is set for October 31st.

What do you think of the new setting? Would you prefer it in a game, or both comic and game? Leave you comments in the…you know the rest….(just incase you don’t) put them in the comments section bellow.
