15 minutes of gameplay for new Dying Light DLC: The Following

New fun ways to kill zombies, yay!

Dying Light developers at Techland hosted a live stream Twitch event, revealing some gameplay for their new expansion pack – The Following. It features the quest called The Trust Is Out There, and shows some promising new additions to the game.

In Dying Light, there are so many ways you can kill a zombie. Now, along with hacking and slashing your way through the city, you can add “running over zombies with a dune buggy” to your list of ways to kill a zombie. Oh, and don’t forget that much requested crossbow fans were talking about.

“Hopefully people will see that this new expansion is first and foremost, for the fans.”

That’s right, Techland listened to their fans. Of course, it makes sense when you take a look at the new map. If Dying Light‘s original storyline was centered around the city, DLC The Following takes zombie killers out and about, bringing in vast open spaces, the great outdoors… more space for your dune buggy!

“For Dying Light: The Following, we’re adding a number of bold game-changers to create one massive expansion. Something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor. The new map alone is the same size as all the previous maps from Dying Light combined, so there is a lot we’re packing in here.”

– Tymon Smektala, Dying Light producer

Also, that dune buggy we keep talking about… you’ll be able to pimp it up. Either add on some strong UV lamps to repel nighttime zombies, or put on some spikes and impale them all (insert evil laugh here)!

The Following will be available for free for holders of the Season Pass, or $15 for anyone else who wishes to have it.
