Later this month, there will be a Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco. However, due to an executive order signed by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, many developers will be unable to attend, due to travel bans temporarily imposed on a number of countries.

Seeing this as unfair, Devolver Digital will be accepting submissions from creators and developers who fall within the travel ban.

Devolver Digital will be setting up gaming PCs and HTC Vive sets, if required, to show off the games from these banned developers.

They will be displayed at the nearby offsite location used by Devolver Digital during the conference, known as the “Developer Underground.” It’s located in the basement level of 44 Tehama Street, San Francisco, CA 94105.

The “Developer Underground” will be open to press and attendees during the conference, from Monday, February 27 through Wednesday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Creators interested in submitting their build/demo should email
[email protected] and include the following information:

  • Studio Name / Developer Name
  • Short description of the game
  • Country of origin
  • Link to video of the game if available

Developers are requested to send in their submissions and inquiries ASAP, as space is limited. According to the official website:

“Due to the limited space, preference will be given to those developers that were set to travel to GDC and were forced to cancel their plans due to the immigration ban.”

This ban may be keeping international creators and developers out of the country, but it can’t and won’t keep out awesome games.
