Titanfall Beta Will Have Anti-Cheat System
There has been a lot of new info about Respawn Entertainment’s new first person shooter Titanfall over the last few weeks. We’ve gotten confirmation on minimum system requirements, the origin necessity, and even a beta which will take place later this month.
So what’s next?
In a tweet by Respawn’s community manager Abbie Heppe, the dev team will have a new anti-cheat system in place for the beta. She says,
@projekt21 we do have anti-cheat but not specifying what we're using

Additionally, Titanfall’s producer Drew McCoy says that the team will be using a brand new build of the game for the beta:

While it is not surprising that the studio would use a current build of the game and new anti-cheat software during a beta test, it is good to see that the team is taking action to prevent cheaters from causing unwanted strife in what appears as one of the biggest next-gen releases of 2014.
Titanfall releases on the Xbox One and PC on March 11th for the U.S. and March 13th for Europe. It will also release on the Xbox 360 on March 25th.
