Nova returns in Starcraft II: Nova Covert Ops

It may not be Starcraft: Ghost, but already Starcraft II: Nova Covert Ops looks like a promising substitute

Ranking #4 on my Top 10 Girls with Guns list, Nova Terra is returning to Starcraft II in a big way in Starcraft II: Nova Covert Ops. This DLC pack announced at BlizzCon 2015 is expected to come out in the Spring of 2016.

According to this official trailer that debuted at BlizzCon, Starcraft II: Nova Covert Ops will be a 3-mission DLC for Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void. The three missions will revolve around the disproportionately popular Nova Terra, a character who saw only one mission in Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, and was to make an appearance in the vaporware title Starcraft: Ghost back in 2002. Since then, Starcraft: Ghost has officially been canceled, and it seems like this series of missions will act as its replacement.

Starcraft II: Nova Covert Ops is already a home run for Starcraft fans as this news has already caused the official Facebook page to explode with views and comments in only minutes. What the actual missions will be like is a completely different question, but for now all we know is that this will be a highly anticipated update.

Personally, the most interesting feature of this trailer is the voice over the intercom. It sounds almost like Matt Horner, or Valerian Mengsk. Could it be that she is being detained by one of these men? Is she really in danger, or is she suffering from some sort of side-effect of the Ghost program’s training regiment? Only time will tell!

What do you guys think? Will this satisfy the void left over by the lack of Starcraft: Ghost? Do you want more Nova than just 3 extra missions? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
