If you’re one of the many residents of Eorzea and are for the FATE Tower of Power in FFXIV, chances are you’re in the process of upgrading your Relic Weapon. This can be rather taxing and usually requires a lot of AFK’ing and Netflix (the Final Fantasy XIV player’s activities of choice), but with this guide we’ll have you along your way in no time.
No more wandering the snowy wastes wondering where the heck is this FATE is, and no more climbing up the stupid Monument Tower looking for NPCs. Let’s get started.
Where to Start the Tower of Power FATE
To start Tower of Power, you’ll have to find it first.
The FATE takes place in the Coerthas Central Highlands, you can teleport in using the Camp Dragonhead Aetheryte.
Head down to the Southwest area of the map, Boulder Downs. Tower of Power needs to be activated, and if it’s ready to be popped you’ll find it’s starting NPC, House Haillenarte Guard, located at coordinates (10, 28). Here is his location on the map.
He can be found peeking out from behind a tree off the path and next to the stream. Speak with the Guard and the FATE will begin. If the House Guard isn’t there however, you’ll either have to wait around for them to spawn or help move things along by completing other FATES around the map.
Some recommended FATES you could easily complete nearby are What’s On Your Mind, or The Bigger They Are. And though it’s not too nearby, Roc of Ages usually seems to be up as well.
Tower of Power itself is pretty simple to do, and only requires you to slay some level 42 Giant Readers and Giant Loggers. The Giants themselves are pretty typical enemies and are weaker versions of the ones that spawn just to the Northeast.
The recommended level for this is 45, but if you’re upgrading your Relic weapon from Atma to Animus, you’ll be level 50 or over anyways. Finishing this FATE is required for completing one of the books you’ll need, Skywind II.
Completing Tower of Power rewards you with 12,420 Experience, 90 Gil, and 258 Grand Company Seals.
