Mohawk Games has released new a downloadable map editor for Offworld Trading Company. The “Map Toolkit” DLC for the game allows players to build Martian landscape maps to share with other players.
The DLC also adds new maps based on actual Martian locations, which help players get started on making their own maps. Players can also explore many options when creating maps in the game.
Offworld Trading Company is the real-time strategy game where money, and not firepower, is the greatest weapon. The economic RTS is based on corporate expansion of Mars.
The game begins within the first stages of colonization, as the players hope to turn a profit with their corporations. Players in the game bet all their claims to the thirteen resources available and snatch any advantage by buying and selling in the marketplace.
This new map editor allows players to create more prominent design features, like craters and plateaus, to smaller features like locations and a number of different resources.
The “Map Toolkit” is available for purchase on Steam for $4.99.
