According to the developer, the delay is an effort to add more content to the game before release. The statement from Maple Power Games also apologized for the delay.

So whilst we’re very sorry to delay your trip to Planimal Planet, we’re very excited to bring you a game with some fantastic additions on release!

Monster Harvest is a beautifully pixelated farming simulator where the crops you grow can become your new sidekicks. Crops can mutate into “72 different” Planimals, who become key companions throughout your time on Planimal Planet.

You’ll be able to grow your farm, customize your own house, and use magical slimes on your crops in three unique seasons: dry, wet, and dark. Each season allows you to shift what you can grow, creating a number of crop variations.

Like many other farming simulators and management games like Stardew Valley and Story of Seasons, Monster Harvest allows players to forge relationships with other members of Planimal Planet and leverage friendships to gain discounts on store prices, among other things.

You can wishlist Monster Harvest now on Steam.
