Greek Mythology update for Minecraft Xbox Edition comes just days before Windows 10 update

A new update for Mincraft Xbox One and Xbox 360 has been released with a Greek Mythology theme.

Minecraft has been offering a bunch of downloadable content for its Xbox One and Xbox 360 editions, and this particular batch includes tons of Greek Mythology references.

In this new chunk of DLC, Mojang included 39 new skins that all were themed according to Greek Mythology. Along with the skins is a custom texture set, new UI, and a soundtrack composed by Gareth Coker.

Some of the major characters included in the pack are:

Cyclops
Hades
Hydra
Medusa
Zeus
Prometheus
Apollo

While some of these names might be used as X-Men and Marvel characters, they're all originally from Greek stories and myths.

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Update

We're just days away from the new Windows 10 edition of Minecraft, set to release on July 29th. While there are many new things coming with this edition, one of the major crowd-pleasing features is the built-in GameDVR. Instead of having to slow your computer down with FRAPS, those who play Minecraft and make cinematic videos can do so with more comfort.
