WoW 5.3: Tiger’s Peak Arena

This new arena will be released with World of Warcraft patch 5.3.

Once again, the good folks at MMO-Champion have datamined something magnificent: the new arena. World of Warcraft 5.3 brings with it not only a new battleground, but the Tiger’s Peak Arena.

As you can see through the video, there are some platforms to the side of the arena that are climbable through sets of stairs. There are a few tiger statues, as well. These can be used as cover to get out of your enemy’s line of sight.

Since the intensity of the snowfall changes throughout the match, it can be inferred that it might have some sort of effect on line of sight. If so, this might make it important to stay as close to your ally as possible in Tiger’s Peak Arena. Weather based interference like this would be a first for WoW.

I am not a huge arena player by any means, but I do like to try my hand at it from time to time. I am pretty excited about this new map. I love the environmental design. I look forward to trying it out in WoW 5.3.
