Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate Edition to be Bundled on August 25th 2015

The Gears of War Ultimate Edition Xbox One bundle releases August 25th for the same price as a regular Xbox One without the free game.

An upcoming Xbox One bundle featuring Gears of War Ultimate Edition will begin appearing in stores on August 25th, 2015. This news comes from a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con from Gears of War co-creator, Rob Fergusson.

Inside the Bundle

This special bundle that comes out the same day as Gears of War Ultimate Edition can be found at select retailers and only while supplies last. Included in the bundle is the Xbox One with a 500 GB hard drive, a digital download code for Gears of War Ultimate Edition, and a wireless Xbox One controller. Some other features are a special multiplayer skin for Cole, a 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold, and access to Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta which starts in 2016.

If you're looking to get into the next-gen consoles with an Xbox One, there will be no price difference between the original Xbox One and the Xbox One Gears of War Ultimate Edition bundle. Both are for the price of $349.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition has also been announced for the PC but a release date has not been said.

As a Gears fan who just bought an Xbox One, this actually has me a bit upset.

I'm sorry it upset you! I would feel the same way.

It's just really annoying. Like, of COURSE this would happen less than a week after I buy my system.
