Attention all DC Universe battlers, the latest Injustice: Gods Among Us challenge is starting TODAY and runs until September 16th. And who can you bring into your fighting roster?

A Red Son version of Slade himself – Deathstroke.

If you’ve done the past challenges, this will be familiar territory for you. You must complete 63 battles against increasingly challenging opposition. You will have to pay for each battle with Challenge Currency, which can be earned in regular play or purchased.

There are five series of challenges. For each you complete after the first two, you win a prize. So, you don’t need to complete them all to win something.

Each set of battles you win, you get a part of Deathstroke’s gear (Utility Belt, Dog Tags, Sword, Rifle, and Mask). Once you have won all five challenges, a Gold Level Red Son Deathstroke is added to your collection.

  • 24 Fights Won – Free Bronze Booster Pack (worth 8,000 credits)
  • 36 Fights Won – +15,000 Power Credits
  • 48 Fights Won – Free Silver Booster Pack (worth 35,000 credits)

Slade Wilson – Gun for Hire

How ironic that one of DC’s iconic villains and anti-heros would precede a now famous mouthy merc named Wade Wilson in the Marvel Universe? Still, Perez and Wolfman’s creation has had a long and illustrious career harassing the Teen Titans, The Birds of Prey, Freedom Force, even Batman and Robin. In fact, he will be making an appearance in Arkham Origins – portrayed by Ron Perlman (who voiced him on Teen Titans).

Many Injustice players are already fans of the man formerly known as “The Terminator”.

In game, his martial art skills, slicing sword techniques mixed with long and short-range gun attacks make him a very lethal character to use or come up against.

And you can’t beat the man for quips either.
