WoW 5.3: Ask the Devs About the New PvP Changes

The voting for Ask the Devs "PvP Changes on the PTR" will run from 4/9/13 to 4/11/13.

While Blizzard is unable to fix the game according to each customer’s complaint, they sure do try to at least listen to them. That’s why, for World of Warcraft patch 5.3, they are running an Ask the Devs: “PvP changes on the PTR.”

WoW 5.3 is bringing with it a huge overhaul of the PvP system, removing resilience from almost every item in the game. There are some other major changes, like increased battle fatigue in order to make healers more effective.

This is the way it will work: players will be able to post and vote for questions in a designated thread on the forums. This will go on for 48 hours from 4/9/13 to 4/11/13. Afterwards, the devs will be answering the questions with the most likes.

There are some rules involved in order to make sure this works effectively. The dislikes a question receives will not cancel out any of its likes; furthermore, dislikes will not be considered at all.

Posters are only allowed to ask questions relevant to the topic at hand: changes to PvP in WoW 5.3. If they ask anything about future expansion, storylines, or even PvE content, the questions will be thrown out, no matter their total vote count.

The thread will be highly monitored. No discussion will be allowed. Not only this, but players will have to choose their question wisely as only one will be allowed per poster.

After all the voting is done and the questions are tallied up, the developers will provide answers for them on their blogs.

As much flak as Blizzard (sometimes deservedly) receives, at least they let their fans complain about the game and even try to give them answers for why changes are made.

Unlike some other companies who are famous for their fantasy and sci-fi romance simulators, Blizzard gives dissenters a place to reasonably voice their opinions without the threat of ban.

What would you like to ask the devs about the upcoming changes to PvP in WoW 5.3? As a Warlock player, I’d personally ask about how the battle fatigue changes will be implemented without severely crippling my sustainability.
