Sydney-based indie developers Nnooo, the group behind Spirit Hunters Inc. on DSiWare, have recently announced their latest title: Blast ‘Em Bunnies, will come out sometime in 2014. Slated to be a downloadable title for the Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita and PS4, Blast ‘Em Bunnies is an endless shooter where you must defend yourself from hordes of evil bunnies.
As to what makes the bunnies evil is unknown, but they will stop at nothing to take you down. These evil bunnies have evolved into all shapes and sizes and as such, developed their own individual characteristics–such as the ability to fly. However, you will have several different weapons in your arsenal such as the carrot rifle, watermelon pip machine gun, and for when things get really hairy, the turnip mortar.
As Nick Watt, the creative director at Nnooo puts it:
“Blast ‘Em Bunnies is a pick-up-and-play endless shooter…with bunnies. You have to keep your bunny alive as long as you can. The longer you play, the more difficult survival becomes. But it’s not just your own bunny’s mortality you’re concerned with. You also need to deal with the throat slitter who is holding your baby bunnies hostage. He’ll pop up every now and again with one of your little ‘uns. Kill him quickly and the baby bunny escapes. If you’re not quick enough…well, I really don’t want to talk about it.”
There it is folks, words from the man himself. Do what you must to save the poor little bunnies! You’re their only hope!
