Following on from Target's early release of its Black Friday ad, Best Buy has made its own ad available, full of video game sales you won't want to miss.

We don't cover tech of movie deals in this piece, instead opting to focus on all of the console and video game deals in the ad. This includes online sales and doorbusters.

We also have Black Friday roundups for PSN, Microsoft, GameStop, and Walmart

Best Buy Black Friday 2019

This list is based on the preliminary deals Best Buy announced ahead of time, so it's likely to be adjusted and updated as the outlet announces more sales, and it's just Black Friday — no Cyber Monday or weekend deals are included.

We break things down by console and price. We start with console deals (including PSVR) and follow things up with the best deals on games by console.

Video Game Consoles

Best Buy has some of the same deals on consoles as Target, though Best Buy favors Xbox One for variety and has no free gift cards thrown in.

PlayStation 4

  • PlayStation 4 Slim (1TB), DualShock Wireless Control, and three free games — $199.99. The games shown are listed below.

PlayStation's Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle Black Friday deal Mon, 23 Nov 2015 07:31:30 -0500 Zanne Nilsson

Black Friday weekend is coming up, and while some retailers (such as Target) have already announced their deals on consoles and games, the PlayStation Blog posted an announcement about their Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle, which will be available for $299.99 USD (MSRP) from Thursday through Cyber Monday. The bundle will also be available in Canada for $369.99 CAD (MSRP) from Friday through Monday.

The announcement included the following details about the bundle:

The bundle includes a 500GB PS4 system and the single-player campaigns for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Take some time over the holidays to play the first three, critically-acclaimed Uncharted games with beautifully remastered graphics and brand-new game modes for PS4, right before the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on March 18, 2016.

Of course, you'll have to check with your local retailers to see how each of them is handling the bundle sale and plan accordingly. It does sound like a good deal, and may lure in a lot of holiday shoppers.

So, would you buy the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 bundle if you had the funds? Or would you have preferred that PlayStation focused their Black Friday efforts on something else instead? Let us know in the comments!

Amazon Black Friday Game Deals Tue, 26 Nov 2013 01:08:49 -0500 EmilyOrange

The full Black Friday Week calendar for video games and platforms was released on recently. Between now and Cyber Monday, big consoles and computer games are on schedule to be massively discounted. To see the full list of deals look here, but the highlights of the sale are the Xbox 360, PS3, and Skylanders Series.

The sale will run from now until November 29. Amazon doesn't list their prices before those deals become available, but you can guess that they will be equal to or better than the steals found on Steam, Walmart, GameStop, Ebay, Target, and BestBuy.

For this sale consoles with bundles of games and series with multiple incarnations will be the most prevalent purchases. Newly released games like Last of Us, Batman Arkham Origins, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Grand Theft Auto V are going to be quickly purchased by gamers and extremely popular this weekend. Whether you are into PC or console, shooters or strategy games, you can look for a game to buy cheaply on

ThinkGeek Offers Special Code for Black Friday Discount Mon, 25 Nov 2013 23:28:23 -0500 J Nicole Miller

ThinkGeek launched its Black Friday sale yesterday. It runs through the 30th of November. During this sale, customers can get 20% off of purchases totaling at least $40 without tax or shipping. All you have to do is use the code “BLACKMAGIC” at checkout to receive the discount. You can’t use this code with any other special offers, though, like free shipping or coupons. It also doesn’t apply to gift certificates.

I’m super psyched about this sale because I’m a little bit in love with almost everything on the ThinkGeek website. I mean, just look at their Star Wars section. There’s a lot of really cool stuff there. I really want the classic Star Wars movie posters. However, seeing as neither of my roommates have seen Star Wars (something I’m trying to change), I doubt they’d go over well in my dorm. But Star Wars was my first love, and I still really want these posters.

And, of course, ThinkGeek offers products in almost every major realm of Geekdom. Portal, Doctor Who, Firefly, Minecraft, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Hunger Games, and more are all represented. You can pretty much find something for all your geek friends. I’m definitely going to be taking advantage of the ThinkGeek Black Friday sale.

Target Offering Buy 2 Get 1 Game Free Now Through Saturday Fri, 15 Nov 2013 02:03:43 -0500 Stephanie Tang

Between hovering over leaked Black Friday deals at and watching the clock tick down until the official PlayStation 4 launch, gamers have a lot to be excited about right now. Luckier industry folks than I have already had their turn playing around with the newest gaming shiny to hit the consumer market, now it's our turn!

(This is, of course, running under the assumption that it will work. It may not.)

But what comes next?

The obvious answer: games! And after shelling out the big bucks for the PS4, what better way to celebrate than with the best selection of games that launch day can throw at us - at a discount?

A couple weeks ago, we at GameSkinny reported a leaked Target flyer that offered a pretty great deal - buy two PS4 games and you'll get a third free.

Pretty sweet deal, right?

The Target deal has since been confirmed and the sale is going full steam ahead - right now, in fact. Not for the PS4 titles, they start selling immediately after the launch of the console, but twelve titles are confirmed as being part of the deal including:

  •  Killzone: Shadow Fall
  • Knack
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts

And for those of you who aren't really keen on shelling out for a new console and, let's face it, some rather dubiously rated launch titles, there's probably something in there for you too.

Through this Saturday, Target's "buy two, get one free deal" is valid on over 500 games, and while that number doesn't encompass every single game on the market right now, it certainly applies to some of this year's biggest titles such as:

  • Pokemon X & Y
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Battlefield 4
  • Skylanders Swap Force

Plus, if you're not interested in shelling out for more than one title this Black Friday, there are some additional offers on some of these. Target is offering a $20 Gift Card with the purchase of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, while Battlefield 4, Batman: Arkham Origins, possibly Call of Duty: Ghosts (the flyer image is cut off), and more, are on Black Friday sale for $35 each or less.

Older games are being sold at $15 and $25 levels as seen above, including those not shown in the flyer. You can view these and additional game price drops on IGN, or check out the games themselves on the Target website.

Additionally, if you're anything like me and have let the current generation of console gaming pass you by with wistful silence (especially in the wake of quality exclusive releases like The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls), Target is breaking out some of the lowest prices ever on current generation bundles - $189.99 for the 4 GB Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle and doorbuster deal $199 250GB PlayStation 3 bundle that comes with Batman: Arkham Origins and The Last of Us.

Here's the best part!

While getting your hands on a deal is great, and one of the best feelings in the world, what you get is not necessarily worth the experience of the crushing, rushing, claustrophobic mass of humanity shoving into, past, and through you in order to get their hands on their own treasure trove of cheap goodies when you brave the Black Friday sales in store.

Well at least this year, it looks like you might not even have to. According to Target's promotions page, it appears that the red-and-white giant is offering free shipping for these titles as well. You might not be able to nab some of the doorcrasher prizes, but it's a hell of an easier way to get your hands on some cheap games.

Remember, this deal ends Saturday night, so get shopping you lucky American customers, you! Some of us a little north of the border aren't quite so lucky.
