Epic Jungle Challenge is the newest event in Clash of Clans that provides players with a pre-assigned army of heroes and pets, as well as puts a time limit on the battle to only five minutes. This shouldn't discourage you from taking on this challenge, as our guide will provide you with all the tips on how to beat Epic Jungle Challenge in Clash of Clans.

There are also limitations on the number of spells, which you can't change just like your army. The only two pre-assigned spells are the new Clone and Poison spells. That isn't much, but you can still win the battle if you adhere to a specific strategy we provide down below.

How to Beat Epic Jungle Challenge in Clash of Clans

Step 1: Destroy Builder's Hut

Once you start the challenge you need to focus on the east side of the scenery, specifically the southeast and northeast areas.

Start in the southeastern village to get rid of Balloon traps. These can be easily triggered by a couple of minions. You absolutely need to get those traps away at the very start of the battle.

Then, move to the northeast village with the Builder's Hut and follow these steps:

  1. Deploy Baby Dragon right above the Builder's Hut
  2. Wait for him to destroy the building
  3. Switch Baby Dragon to the southern cannon
  4. Let him destroy the northern cannon

When the Builder's Hut and both cannons are down, you can move to the center of the scenery.

Step 2: Destroy Town Hall

The Town Hall building in the center of the scenery is protected by three types of towers:

  • Hidden Tesla
  • Scattershot
  • Inferno Tower

The best way to quickly get rid of all those buildings is to deploy the Archer Queen. Her damage would be enough to obliterate all three. But you also need to make sure she stays alive while moving closer to the Town Hall.

Follow these steps to quickly reach Town Hall:

  1. Deploy Archer Queen in the eastern part of the map
  2. Deploy two Healers beside her
  3. Destroy the Hidden Tesla tower
  4. Use the Clone Spell on the Healers to double up their quantity
  5. Apply Royal Cloak ability on Archer Queen
  6. Destroy Scattershot
  7. Destroy Inferno Tower

If your Archer Queen survived the defense systems of all three towers, then she can easily take out the Town Hall by herself. At this point its defenses will be low and the increased damage from Royal Cloak should finish the job.

Once the Town Hall is destroyed, you can move to the southern part of the map.

Step 3: Destroy Eagle Artillery

The southern edge is controlled and protected by the Eagle Artillery building that requires a more direct approach.

Here's what you need to do to get rid of it

  1. Deploy Ice Golem
  2. Deploy Barbarian King
  3. Deploy several Wall Breakers
  4. Let them break the defenses and reach Eagle Artillery
  5. Deploy Grand Warden behind Ice Golem
  6. Deploy Royal Champion behind Barbarian King
  7. Let them distract and consume some of the damage

The most valuable ability in this instance would be Grand Warden's Eternal Tome, which makes him immune to damage. There's going to be a lot of it, so it's helpful to have him take it on the part of your other troops.

When the Eagle Artillery is finally destroyed in the south, you can move to the final building - the Clan Castle.

Step 4: Destroy Clan Castle

After the fall of the Town Hall and the Eagle Artillery, the Clan Castle will be defenseless. You can now combine the powers of all your troops to get rid of this last building.

Follow these steps to destroy Clan Castle:

  1. Move your Archer Queen and Healers closer to the Clan Castle
  2. Use Poison Spell on the Clan Castle skeletons
  3. Move the rest of your troops to the Clan Castle
  4. Let the pets destroy the rest of the cannons

At this point, the Clan Castle should fall and your battle will be over.

Epic Jungle Challenge Rewards

If you managed to win the battle within the five minutes time limit, you will be rewarded with the following items:

  • 400 XP
  • 14x Gems
  • 2x Builder's Potion

This strategy should help you quickly win the Epic Jungle Challenge in Clash of Clans. For more Clash of Clans tips and tricks articles, visit our dedicated hub page.

Clash of Clans: Epic Winter Challenge Guide Mon, 21 Dec 2020 11:40:15 -0500 Serhii Patskan

All Clash of Clans players can now take part in a huge new Epic Winter Challenge event. It pits clashers against the king and the queen on a new map. If you can beat it and earn all three stars, then you get some valuable rewards.

This guide will provide you with tips on how to complete the Epic Winter Challenge and earn all three stars. This strategy works every time, so be sure to follow it as precisely as you can.

How to Beat Epic Winter Challenge in Clash of Clans

Destroy Air Defense Tower

The very first thing that you need to do is remove the Air Defense Tower in the center of the map.

The best way to do it is to simply drop Santa's Surprise Spells on the Air Defense Tower, which will also destroy other buildings surrounding it.

Destroy Archer Towers

There are two sets of Archer Towers on the map, one in the north and one in the south.

This means that you need to use two sets of the following troops:

  • 1x Ice Golem
  • 2x Ice Wizards

Put each set of troops on the opposite sides of the map and watch them demolish the Archer Towers to the ground.

Use Your Grand Warden

Grand Warden is one of the most effective units for this type of challenge. So put one such unit either on the eastern or western side of the map.

Let him attack enemy units one by one, which will help distract them from your golems and wizards, while they're dealing with the Archer Towers.

Attack the Base

Finally, you can focus all of your units on taking out the defending heroes. Send all your Ice Golems, Ice Wizards, Ice Hounds, and Grand Warden to attack the base of the king and queen. If you can add Royal Champion to the mix, it would be wonderful.

During your last push try to freeze the heroes as often as possible, while you're finishing off the rest of the towers.

This simple strategy will create enough pressure on your enemies to earn you all three stars and complete the Epic Winter Challenge.

Once this is done you will receive the following rewards:

  • 500 XP points
  • 15 Gems

That's all you need to know on how to complete Epic Winter Challenge in Clash of Clans. For more Clash of Clans tips and tricks, please visit our dedicated hub page.

How to Send Clan Gifts in Clash of Clans Sun, 27 Aug 2017 11:41:26 -0400 Kellan Pine

Clash of Clans has a number of currencies for players to keep track of. Gold and Elixir are generated by buildings in the base. These cannot be shared with other players. Gems are the premium currency of the game, and are typically acquired with an in-app purchase. These can be gifted to clan members, but only under certain circumstances.

During limited time events, Supercell allows players to buy packages of gems that include gifts. These will appear under the Treasure section of the in game shop, to the right of the usual purchase options. Each gift will be available for a limited number of clan members to claim -- usually 20, but this may change in future events.

At first glance this is a simple process, but a lot of players are having trouble sending their clan gifts in Clash of ClansIn this short guide, we'll go over what steps you need to take and what caveats you'll need to be aware of when trying to send gifts.

Sending Gifts to Your Clan in Clash of Clans

The actual sending of your clan gift happens automatically whenever you buy them from the Treasure store. As soon as you buy the gift, it gets posted in clan chat immediately after your purchase.

The biggest potential problem players will face when buying a gift is that it has to be claimed before it scrolls out of the clan chat. In larger clans, this can lead to gifts being wasted. Once a gift is out of chat, it cannot be reused and no refund is given. So if you plan to send a gift, you should should send a message in chat prior to buying that gift so that your friends can hop in and claim it.

The other caveat to this process is that the clan gifts can only be purchased during certain events. These are usually not advertised in advance and sometimes have no clear end date. Purchasing the gifts at the first opportunity is recommended if you are sure you want to share the gems with your clan.

As of right now, there is no other way to send gifts to another player in Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans Guide: What Happens If You Remove the Old Barbarian Statue? Sun, 20 Aug 2017 18:32:27 -0400 Kellan Pine

Over the past five years, the MMO strategy game Clash of Clans has grown more popular with every year. Over multiple updates, the game has continued to grow and gain more and more users. And as time has worn on, CoC has begun to add more and more mysteries to the game. One of those is the Old Barbarian statue.

The Builder Base in Clash of Clans contains a large stone object shaped like the head of the barbarian characters in the game. It is not unusual for villages in Clash of Clans to contain buildings or objects that are meant to be obstacles for the player. These can usually be cleared by spending a small amount of gold or elixir, and they reward the player an average of two gems for the effort. Because gems are the IRL currency of the game, this allows players to very slowly gain access to paid content for free.

Unlike most other obstacles, the Old Barbarian Statue requires a significant amount of builder gold to remove: 200,000 to be exact. This has caused many players to wonder if something special happens as a result of removing the statue.

The Old Barbarian Statue costs 200,000 to remove.

It turns out that paying the 200,000 builder gold to remove the Old Barbarian Statue rewards players from the same table as standard obstacles -- meaning its rewards aren't anything astonishing. This also means it is almost certainly not worth removing. Why? Because you'll get between zero and six gems for all your effort.

At most, a player can have two gold mines in the Builder Base. Once these are upgraded to the highest level, they generate 2,500 builder gold per hour -- for a grand total of 5,000 per hour. It would take the most dedicated CoC players 40 hours to recover the cost of removing this obstacle. That time and builder gold is probably better spent building or upgrading defenses.

Clash of Clans: Raiding Tips for Beginners Thu, 11 Jun 2015 19:19:06 -0400 Robert Guthrie

Clash of Clans has a lot of moving parts, from designing your base to upgrading your buildings, to joining and participating in a Clan, but perhaps the most important part of the game, if you’re trying to grow your village and get stronger, is raiding. But raiding can be a little intimidating to a beginner, and if you’re just starting out it’s more than possible to waste a bunch of time and elixir going after the wrong targets or using your troops poorly.

If you’re just getting started, make sure you’ve done a few levels of the single-player campaign – the Goblins. Here are some tips and tricks for beginning Clashers to help you get started on raiding.

Don’t Be Afraid to Hit Next!

This is probably the first thing you need to learn about raiding, and the one technique that will save you the most frustration. As with so many things in life, patience is the key to success. Yes, it does cost gold to keep looking through enemy villages, but it’s absolutely worth skipping over villages that are too difficult or offer too little in the way of resource rewards. The gold you spend looking will absolutely pay for itself.

You don’t have a lot of time to examine other villages, but here are the things you should look for while you’re scanning for your next target:

  • Where are the resources? You can get a glimpse of how much is available in the upper right corner, but check out the visual indicators on their collectors – if all their resources are stored in well protected collectors, this might not be the right target. (See below for an example of full vs. empty collectors)
  • Are the resource collectors and/or storages exposed? There’s no reason to be a hero when attacking. There’s no shame in waiting for an easy target.
  • Are there tombstones on the map? If the player hasn’t been back since an attack, then their traps are probably still sprung, making this an easy
  • Does the base look rushed? If there are low-level defenses, incomplete walls, and other signs that the player rushed to the next TH level without fully upgrading, you can be sure that their defenses aren’t going to be up to snuff (the base below is a example of a very quickly rushed TH).

  • Are defenses being upgraded? Especially with lower-level bases, if you can catch one while a mortar or wizard tower is being upgraded, you have a good chance of achieving two or three stars when it might be hard to get past one.

Raiding Goes Both Ways

Let’s face it – you’re going to get raided. This can be a huge setback if you’ve been stockpiling resources for an upgrade, but there are ways to make sure that you don’t suffer too greatly from the inevitable raid. Make sure you’re thinking about the following when you start raiding seriously

  • Spend down before you go offline – whether you’re going to bed, heading to work, or just going to be unplugged for a while, try to spend as much as you can. Especially once you get into higher TH levels, it’s a good idea to leave one builder free to use on walls.
  • Build a smart base. You don’t have to have the perfect layout, you just need to make the prospect of going after your resources unattractive. Upgrade your walls and defenses and keep your storages somewhere safe.
  • Take your revenge! After you’ve been attacked you have a golden opportunity to strike back at your attacker. You aren’t always going to be able to effectively strike back, but you have one huge advantage – as long as you want to look at their base. Tailor your army to take advantage of their weaknesses and get your resources back.

Be Efficient!

It doesn’t matter if you land a huge haul while raiding if you spent more than you gained on the troops you used or if you spent hours training, planning, and executing the assault. There are lots of easy things you can do to improve your efficiency – you don't need a spreadsheet or anything, just a little knowledge and preparation.

  • Know how much your troops cost. Pay attention to the elixir cost of your army and make sure that you’re getting what they’re worth. If you’re not, you might need to adjust your troop composition or search for jucier targets. Also, feel free to keep some troops in reserve if a smaller number can clear 50% and get the resources you need – you don’t have to spend your whole army on every attack.
  • Queue up troops. Even if your camps can’t hold them, you can queue up a whole barracks worth of troops. If you start a raid with troops in the queue, you’ll get a head start on training while you’re on the offensive. (This can be a really clever way to safely store Elixir as well)
  • Use your time wisely. It’s a better use of your time to hit three small targets quickly for 30k than to spend that time hitting one big target for 100k. If you’re not finding nice big targets, feel free to pick on smaller ones using cheaper/fewer troops for a while.

Know Your Army

Over time, you’ll figure out what types of compositions work for you, but there are some tried and true army compositions that are cheap, proven, and effective. Try these out if you’re having trouble:

  • Barch: Barbarian and Archers. The composition varies anywhere from 25 to 50% barbarians, so feel free to tinker with the numbers. The strategy is simple – use the barbarians to soak up damage and archers to take down collectors and storages. This composition sometimes includes wallbreakers if you need to smash into the first layer.
  • BAM: Barbarians, archers, and minions. A slightly more advanced composition, this isn’t necessarily more effective than Barching, but it has the advantage of being very fast, since you can have more barracks working at once. Good for fast farming and picking off easy targets.
  • Giants + Healers: No nifty name for this, but this strategy opens up at T6 and is great for base-busting, but slower than Barchers or Goblins. If you need to absolutely squeeze every last drop out of a raid, this will do the trick, at least for a while.
  • Loonions: For high-level players, Balloons and Minions are a great raiding composition, but you need to have highly upgraded versions of each before it becomes effective.
  • Mass Dragons: When you absolutely need to raze the base. Not recommended for regular raiding, but if you have a juicy revenge target, this might be just the thing.

Feel free to mix and match as well. Throwing giants in with your Barchers or mixing in some goblins here and there can be very effective. There are lots of options available to you, so experiment, see what works, and have fun!

Get The Most Out of Clash of Clans Without Spending A Dime Thu, 19 Feb 2015 05:26:22 -0500 Brittany Vincent

For many of us on a budget, enjoying games like Clash of Clans without having to worry about being forced to make IAP's (in-app purchases) and the like can be difficult. These types of games are geared toward squeezing every single cent out of us that they can, so it's no wonder if you want to keep up with other players that you're expected to shell out the cash.

But before you go and do something crazy, consider these tips and tricks to help keep you on the cheapest path possible. You'll come to find out that you don't need to fall back on the Gold Cloak lifestyle to enjoy the game, and your bank account will thank you for it.

You Don't NEED to Spend Money

First, you're going to want to toss out any preconceived notions that you might have of how important spending money on this game actually is. Just forget about it. In order to do this the right way, you're going to have to look at Clash of Clans as if there simply are no options to spend money on gems to progress. Simply forget that they exist and make a rule that there will be no gems used in order to advance.

Because when you look at Clash of Clans as a game removed from the likes of Farmville or Candy Crush Saga, you'll find that you simply enjoy the flow of the game. You don't need to play to up the aesthetic value of your township and whatnot. Just go with the flow and you'll find that things actually flow much better when you're not in it for solely the finer things in life.

Hoard Your Gems and Focus on Cheap Units

Speaking of finer things, you'll want to start putting back gems and saving your resources, which means you need to stay away from purchasing dragons and other exorbitantly-priced items. Plus, you can do better! Dragons may be a beneficial class and all, and who doesn't want to brag that they've got a horde of dragons at their side?

But you don't actually have to have them. For one thing, they're super slow. They take roughly 30 minutes to create to begin with and then they lumber through like molasses through villages. What you want to do is instead attack swiftly with archers and other smaller troops using a blitz of different attacks so that you can strike quickly and cheaply. This way you've got better uses for both your time and the resources you have on hand.

And really, you're going to want to think that same away about spending gems on upgrades. Let's face it -- Gold Cloaks are infamous for purchasing whatever upgrade they can without actually checking what they need or what would benefit them the best for their Townhall. Keeping up with the Joneses is not what you want to aim for, especially if you're looking to keep your pockets lined with gold in the real world.

It's possible to reach Crystal League even if you neglect your Townhall a bit and hover around level 6 or 7. You just have to make sure you're spending time and resources on the things that matter. Spend time attacking villages and using your strengths to aim for different kinds of achievements, like achieving 50% destruction of a village. The stars you earn will end up helping you save troops and advance more in the long run.

Never Speed Up Production with Gems

Hold on to your hard-earned Instead of spending money on gems to speed up production times and whatnot, save up every bit of that precious currency for when you need to spend it on something else. Complete missions, clear obstacles, and build your gem count up, then only go on shopping sprees when something truly catches your eye.

In fact, don't even bother spending the gems suggested at the beginning of the game, because those can be saved too. Hang on to them as long as you can, and over time they'll most certainly accumulate. You won't have to reach into your wallet for any extra cash when you're a thrify spender to begin with.

But don't get trigger-happy with all that cash you've still got. There are still a few obstacles in your way keeping you from zen. Timers can get you down pretty quickly, especially after you've grown past the very first few days of Clash of Clans as a beginner and start moving on to bigger and better things. Of course, things will progressively get hairier as you level up, so a good idea to ensure you're not tempted to spend gems on bypassing timers is to ensure you stagger your upgrades.

This way you're keeping yourself busy, upgrading at least once a day, and filling the rest of the time with things that need to be done otherwise. You won't be focusing so much on waiting for something to reach its completion point, and you'll have a lot more time left to raise money so you can pay for said upgrades. It all fits together like a puzzle there in the end, you'll see!

Clash of Clans: Tips for Getting Started Thu, 04 Apr 2013 15:46:16 -0400 Rothalack

Clash of Clans is a free to play, pay to win, strategy game.  When I say pay to win, you're looking at hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars to get on par with the high end players now.  If you're cheap like me here are my suggestions to getting started.

Be Patient! Unless you're just swimming in cash and your past time is throwing out money windows, patience is the key.  Just check your clan once or twice a day.  Day by day you will see your base become stronger.  It's honestly quite a lot of fun watching the slow progression.

Conserve your gems. Upon starting and doing the tutorial you'll receive around 500 gems.  These gems are very precious and I would suggest saving them for later.  Each building takes anywhere from 10 minutes to make up to days and weeks.  Save your gems for the later.

Upgrade your town hall. Your town hall as it upgrades gives you all the options you need to expand.  For each level of your town hall the cap of how many buildings you can actually build raises.  It also unlocks more and more buildings.

Build defensive buildings. Without a good defense you will see your clan crushed every day.  Be sure to intelligently place your defenses to maximize the damage they can do.  Also never put them all next to each other.  This forces your attacker to split their troops around your town making it more difficult to destroy.  When you place your defenses next to each other as well it allows their units to just hack their way through each one in succession.

Walls, walls, and more walls.  Towards the beginning this is difficult to do, it requires around a level 4 town hall to make a full wall around your base.  Once you are able to constuct your wall you will see a huge rise in ability of your defensive towers to take out the enemy.

Decide between two play styles.  Farm or attack.  The reason you need to chose one or the other is by farming you can keep your trophies low.  Think of your trophies as you benchmark level for others to attack, therefore if your trophies are low you will only get attacked by low trophy opponents.  This allows you to farm more at low levels.  There are ways for players to get around this and farm you right back but for the most part it works.  If you'd like to be aggressive and just build and attack, go all out!

When attacking other players bases (at low levels).  Make sure to have enough units to split a group per defense.  This allows your units to take out each defense at the same time.  You may have some buildings in the way before getting to defenses so always keep that in mind when placing units.  Also keep in mind once you place a unit you never get them back regardless of them living or dying.  So you will come across many bases that would not require you dropping all of your troops.  I've lost a lot of resources on wasting my units.

If your a noob like me.  Don't expect to get anywhere far any time soon.  This game is tedious!

Clash of Clans Cheats, the Mass Lie

There are lots of hacks or cheats for Clash of Clans out there but honestly, don't bother.  I feel like I've gotten viruses just for searching.  I would say 90% of them have a survey required, which means downloading a bunch of worthless crap just to never actually make it to the download of the hack.  Then the other 10% are ones without a survey, which means your downloading a virus right then and there.  Most require that you jailbreak your device, pass.  Others require you be off line which means nothing you do is saved and pointless.  They are all going to claim it works but the developers are the constant prowl for patch fixes and banning those who do succeed.
