Techland's highly anticipated sequel to the iconic parkour open-world first-person zombie killing game Dying Light is officially set to release later this year on December 7, 2021.

This news, along with a deep cut into Dying Light 2: Stay Human, came from the debut episode of Dying 2 Know, which will be a series of live events leading up to launch, each diving into more about the game with interviews from the developers.

The event also featured more gameplay footage of Dying Light 2: Stay Human, and you can watch the whole event here:

The interviews with developers covered a wide array of topics, with developers revealing a little about their gameplay design process, as well as the game's parkour elements, environments, and narrative.

Techland said that they have actually doubled the number of parkour moves available to players, making the world even more of a jungle gym than it already was in the 2015 original. Players will see 3,000 different parkour animations, all of which have been given very detailed attention.

The map for Dying Light 2: Stay Human is also extremely vast. It not only is a huge stretch of land just to cross, but since the street level is overrun with monsters and death, the rooftops of a civilization that once was have now become a new ground level, giving Dying Light 2: Stay Human an elevated sense of verticality.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human will release for PC, PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, and you can go pre-order it now. Alongside the standard edition ($59.99), there is a deluxe edition ($79.99) and a collectors edition ($99.99).

Bioshock Celebrates 10 Years with Anniversary Collector's Edition Wed, 08 Nov 2017 12:30:24 -0500 Sarah Elliman

The Bioshock series would have been celebrating its tenth anniversary back in August of this year. To celebrate the occasion 2K have announced an exclusive Collector’s Edition to commemorate the series, available on November 14th.

The edition will set you back $199.99 and is only available for purchase within the US. You can either buy it directly from 2K’s store or at your local GameStop. The edition will also only be available for PS4 and Xbox One players.

The 10th Anniversary Collector’s Edition will include a copy of the Bioshock: Collection alongside a 11.5-inch statue of Bid Daddy and Little Sister. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, the figurine has been modeled after the original art that was displayed on the first Bioshock cover. The statue will feature Big Daddy’s drill fully motorized and varying light components as well. To further pay homage to the original Bioshock they have added Bid Daddy and Little Sister voice clips directly taken from the game to feature for this statue.

The original Bioshock game was released in August 2007 for PC and Xbox 360, with a PS3 port coming later to the series. Bioshock was praised for its immersive story-telling and interesting combat mechanics. Many critics couldn’t get enough of the game, with IGN’s review praising the game immensely, stating that:

"Bioshock stands as a monolithic example of the convergence of entertaining gameplay and an irresistibly sinister, engrossing storyline that encompasses a lot of multifaceted characters."

The overall score on Metacritic, which comprises of critical reviews, rated Bioshock at 96/100.

Ken Levine was the driving force behind Bioshock, where he was the writer and creative director for the project. In all the games he has involved with, Levine tried to put a sociological tone over the game. The issue of harvesting the Little Sisters or not and the core story are a testament to his style. However, he was not present for the writing or directing of Bioshock 2, but later returned to work on Bioshock Infinite.

Bioshock 2 didn’t receive as much praise as its original counterpart, but was still  nominated for a variety of awards, including a “Best Story” for BAFTA Games Awards. Although nominated a fair number of times, the only coveted award that Bioshock 2 won was from the GANG Awards for the “Best Use of Licensed Music.”

Bioshock Infinite was a return to the extremely high praise that was bestowed upon Bioshock. Infinite not only won a variety of “Best Game” awards, but was nominated and honorably mentioned for many more. Bioshock Infinite sold over 10 million copies and was widely praised by critics.

What do you think of the Bioshock series? Are you going to purchase the Collector's Edition? Let us know in the comments.

Chucklefish Games' indie farming simulator Stardew Valley first released on consoles in 2016 after it skyrocketed to success on Steam. But now, a new Collector's Edition has dropped for consoles, bringing along with it a ton of extra goodies.

Selling for $29.99, the Collector's Edition is only $10 more than purchasing the base game for Xbox One and PS4, and comes with the game, a mini-guidebook, game soundtrack, and poster of Stardew Valley.

The guidebook is created by Kari Frye, artist and writer. Her full-length guidebook is available for purchase for $20.00. Metal Gear Solid V: Definitive Experience coming in October Tue, 30 Aug 2016 02:46:39 -0400 Brawler1993

In a move that honestly shouldn't surprise anyone who knows how the triple-A gaming world works, Konami has officially confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V will be receiving a re-release that comes packaged with all of the game's DLC. MGSV: Definitive Edition will cost £34.99 in the UK and looks set to be the perfect version of the game for anyone who passed on it the first time.

It will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 14th. Aside from the original Phantom Pain that was released back in 2015, it will also include the prologue game, Ground Zeroes, that came out in 2014. There will also be additional DLC content (weapons, costumes etc.), including Ground Zeroes' Deja Vu and Jamais Vu missions, which were originally console exclusive. Finally, for those that actually play Metal Gear Online, the bundle comes with that game's 'Cloaked in Silence' expansion pack too, along with a variety of Appeal Packs.

MGSV continues the adventures of Solid Snake's predecessor, Big Boss, and was the last game to be worked on by series creator Hideo Kojima; who has since created his own studio and is working on a new game, Death Stranding, with Norman Reedus seemingly starring as the protagonist.

Legion buying guide: Is your wallet prepared? Thu, 04 Aug 2016 08:11:05 -0400 Joshua Potter

World of Warcraft: Legion not only heralds the return of the Burning Legion, but also the return of flocks of nerds (such as myself) to the world of Azeroth to see what the newest part of World of Warcraft's 10+ year story has planned for us. Their latest preview trailer teases all sorts of exciting new content, and the class halls look to offer a more personalized experience of the game.

WoW: Legion will be released to the masses August 30th, 2016 for PC and Mac. If you too are looking to succumb to the temptation that is WoW, there are a few ways to do it; and it's best to be informed so that you get the most for your money.

You'll have three editions to pick from: Collector's, physical and digital. Here's an overview of each, as well as the benefits of pre-ordering the game.

Collector's Edition

Price: $89.99

World of Warcraft: Legion's Collector's Edition will only be available through retail, since their official site no longer takes orders on the physical edition. It comes with the classic large box sets that all the former games have been packaged in. Here's everything inside:

  • World of Warcraft: Legion PC/Mac game
  • Behind the scenes DVD and Blu-Ray two-disc set
  • Collector's Edition Soundtrack
  • The Art of Legion art book
  • Legion Mousepad
  • In-game content including an Illidari Felstalker mount and matching Felstalker pet. (named Nibbles <3)
  • Matching Felstalker Mount for Heroes of the Storm
  • Starcraft II - exclusive portraits
  • Diablo III - demonic wings and a Demon Hunter signature helm.

Digital Deluxe Edition

Price: $69.99

The Digital Deluxe edition is perfect for anyone who wants all of the in game items offered by the Collector's Edition without having to have the extra clutter of art books or soundtracks. It is only available through Blizzard's shop, and also offers bonuses if you purchase ahead of the game's release. This set includes:

  • Level 100 Character Boost, allowing you to create any class at current max level, or increase the level of any existing characters.
  • Early access to Demon Hunter class prior to release on August 9th.
  • The Illidari Felstalker mount
  • The Felstalker pet Nibbles
  • The Felstalker mount in Heroes of the Storm
  • Starcraft II - portraits
  • Diablo III - Wings & Helm

Standard Edition

Price: $49.99

Maybe you're just eager to get in there and play the game. World of Warcraft has been around for some time, and it's understandable that some people would be hesitant to throw all of their weight back behind the franchise. Games nowadays come and go rather quickly. Look at Pokemon: Go's rise to fame and fall to infamy in just a few weeks. If you want to just enjoy the game's story and not dedicate your life to the world, this is the version for you.

It simply comes with a copy of the game, but if pre-ordered through the site, you can still enjoy the benefits of a free level 100 character to play alongside your friends in all the new content, as well as unlocking the Demon Hunter class right away.

Rocket League Collector's Edition releases July 5, with 4 new cars included Fri, 08 Apr 2016 04:21:15 -0400 Eric Adams

Rocket League will no longer be known as a digital-only game beginning July 5. A collector’s edition has been announced for the popular car soccer game, and it includes three of the previous DLC packs, along with 4 new cars. The Rocket League Collector’s Edition will be available at retailers on July 5, and GameStop has already listed the game for pre-order at the price of $29.99.

$30 for a total of 10 cars, 4 brand new ones, and the original game is quite a bargain. Rocket League has been a hit since its digital release last July. Within three weeks of release on Xbox One, the game managed to sell over a million copies.

This new Collector’s Edition will surely bring in more players. The only question left to ask, whether or not the 4 new cars will be made available to digital copy owners as DLC? If not, his could lead to more people going out and buying the Collector’s Edition.

The best place to pre-order your copy of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Tue, 05 Apr 2016 03:43:34 -0400 Chrisator

With Uncharted 4: A Thief's End releasing in just over a month, this is the best time to pre-order a copy of the game, and reap all the benefits that go with it. The game is due to launch on May 10th worldwide, and offers a variety of new features, including a very spiffy multiplayer mode.

Overview of the game

Before we delve into all the pre-order options and the various places you can purchase them, let's have a look at what the game has in store for us.

"Set three years after the events of UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, Nathan Drake has presumably left the world of fortune hunting behind. However, it doesn’t take long for adventure to come calling when Drake’s brother, Sam, resurfaces seeking his help to save his own life and offering an adventure Drake can’t resist. "

Uncharted 4 features everything you've come to expect from the franchise, and more. With an expanded and improved multiplayer, a variety of cool new features, and some stunning visuals, the game is certainly going be a welcome distraction from the 'real' world. But, just in case you're not as psyched as we are for this game, here's the teaser!

Now that you're all sufficiently psyched, let's look at the various different versions of the game you can purchase.

Mega Man Legacy Collection debuts on Nintendo eShop Tue, 23 Feb 2016 22:36:18 -0500 Lad Johnson

Mega Man Legacy Collection arrived on Nintendo eShop for 3DS today (Feb 23). Capcom's latest celebration of the Blue Bomber features the original six games. New ways to enjoy and experience the iconic franchise are also included.

Mega Man Legacy Collection was released digitally for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows (Steam) last August. Today, along with the eShop release, the collection is available physically for all platforms. The collector's edition of the 3DS version comes packaged with a golden Mega Man amiibo. If you didn't pre-order, this edition is still available through several retailers.

The biggest additions to the classic games are Challenge Mode and Museum Mode. Challenge Mode remixes segments from all six games. Experienced players will enjoy scaling difficulty levels. This same scaling difficulty makes challenge mode good for beginner players as well.

Using your Mega Man amiibo activates eleven remix challenge levels for you to conquer. Museum Mode is a collection of production art and concept sketches. Rare history pieces such as the original NES cart design are found here.

There have been several collections of the classic Mega Man games over the years. But this is the first time on current generation consoles that Rock Man, Mega Man or Blue Bomber has appeared. No matter what you call him, this collection is his legacy. Have fun rediscovering one of the most iconic characters of gaming.

Details on Doom's Collector's Edition revealed Fri, 05 Feb 2016 09:26:02 -0500 Nick Harshman

As some of you may have heard by now, id Software's long gestating Doom reboot is set to release on May 13. For those like me though, you were waiting (and hoping) for a Collector's Edition to be announced, complete with some awesome collectibles.

As you can see, id Software has done just that, and the CE will come with the pictured statue of the Revenant, one of Doom's various demon enemies. The figure, created by TriForce, stands at 12 inches tall and is made of "high-quality" PVC. In order to get the most accurate picture, the creators modeled the statue from the actual game's files. Not only that, but the base is LED-lit, and anything that lights up is just automatically cooler. You can pre-order the CE for $120.

Now, here's the bad news: that's it. You get the statue and the game in a special metal case, but that's all that comes in the CE. I find that to be a tad disappointing considering other CE's in the past have included a statue and various other collectibles.

While the Collector's Edition might be a little on the lighter side in terms of content, the statue alone may make this a worthy buy. Do you think this is enough to get you to buy the Collector's Edition? Let us know in the comments.

Dark Souls 3 '"Apocalypse Edition" for pre-order only in the UK - supplies extremely limited Sat, 16 Jan 2016 05:02:30 -0500 Jessa Rittenhouse

If you're the sort of gamer that always has to have the biggest, baddest version of the game, but your budget just doesn't cover it - Dark Souls 3's "Apocalypse Edition" may just be the game for you - that is, if you pre-order fast.

"Apocalypse Edition" is only available via pre-order in the UK, and the supplies are extremely limited, according to publisher Bandai Namco. The premium edition of this capstone to the infamous series releases April 12 for PlayStation 4, XBox One and PC. It includes a physical copy of the game in a metal case, as well as a copy of the soundtrack CD, and retails at £49.99.

In an era of gaming where physical copies of most games are unnecessary (and for many lesser known indie titles, unavailable), these 'luxe editions provide consumers with a bit of prestige that a digital copy just can't offer. But that prestige tends to come with a hefty price tag.

You can get three different versions of Dark Souls III in the UK: "Fancy," "Burn a Hole in Your Bank Account," and "Is Debtor's Prison Still a Thing?" editions!

"Apocalypse Edition," which replaces North America's "Day One Edition," is the least of the boxes of Dark Souls swag being offered across the pond.

The next step up, the "Collector's Edition," retails for £99.99 and features:

  • A copy of the game
  • Red Knight figurine
  • A4 DARK SOULS Trilogy hardcover artbook
  • Metal case
  • The official soundtrack CD
  • 3 iron-on patches
  • Cloth game-map
  • Exclusive box

And if that isn't enough, there's the aptly named '"Prestige Edition" -- the best of the best, and only available at Amazon UK, containing:

  • A copy of the game
  • A numbered 40cm premium Lord of Cinder hand-painted polystone resin figurine
  • Red Knight figurine
  • A4 DARK SOULS Trilogy hardcover artbook
  • Metal case
  • The official soundtrack CD
  • 3 iron-on patches
  • Cloth game-map
  • Exclusive display box

That said, "Prestige Edition" currently isn't even available on Amazon UK -- and when it is, the price will certainly reflect the perks.

Are these editions worth all the hype? Judging from the rarity, it seems Bandai Namco may be banking on it being just that. We'll see the proof come April.

Will you be playing Dark Souls 3? Will it measure up to the rest of the series and be the crowning achievement, or are you expecting disappointment? Let us know!

Rainbow Six Siege open beta back on Fri, 27 Nov 2015 12:15:34 -0500 Jessi_Cat

Rainbow Six Siege’s open beta had been delayed for a time due to issues concerning matchmaking and disconnection on all platforms. Fortunately, this is what alphas and betas are for -- to find these issues, and fix them.

The open beta has been back on since November 26th at 12pm EST. The Ubisoft forum page has information on the problems, how they tested them, and what fixes were deployed when bugs were found. The community Manager Ubi_Jax posted:

“We want to thank everyone who is participating in this beta. Your feedback helps us improve. For everyone who hasn’t been able to play as yet, we apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding.”

Rainbow Six Siege was announced back on June 19th in 2014. The game’s official release is supposed to be on December 1st 2015. That release date comes after an announcement about the game being delayed in order to give some additional development time. The game is meant to feature 11 maps at launch and some free downloadable content. There is a microtransaction store available for players who want to speed up their progress.

There are three different editions of the game: the base package which just includes the game, a “Gold Edition” package, and a “Collector’s Edition” package. The “Gold Edition” will include the game and a Season Pass.

The Season Pass Includes:

  • 7-day exclusive access to 8 new operators that you can instantly add to your roster
  • Exclusive Season Pass Porter weapon skin
  • Safari Bundle of five weapon skins
  • 600 Rainbow Credits
  • 5% permanent renown boost (this helps to speed up progression)
  • And 5 Daily challenges instead of the standard 3

The “Collector’s Edition” Includes:

  • Standard Edition Game plus the Season Pass
  • Operator Backpack
  • Art of The Siege Tactical Guide
  • CTU Operators Hat
  • Metal Case
  • And a Compass Carbineer
Just Cause 3 updates: Unboxed Collector's Edition & gorgeous PS4 screenshots Mon, 23 Nov 2015 12:33:07 -0500 Gabriella Graham

Avalanche Studios uploaded a new unboxing video showcasing the bonus prizes within Just Cause 3 Collector's Edition. A scowling Rico Rodriguez looks on as two members of Square Enix's marketing department present the promotional items promised back in early July.

Need a bit more than that to satisfy your new release cravings? Lucky for you, the most recent hype includes some pretty pictures. The unboxing contains an Xbox One exclusive, and we don't want to leave PS4 users feeling left out. To fill that gap, PS4 owners just got another stunning sneak peek at the colorful and immersive graphics of Just Cause 3. NeoGAF user nbnt shared direct-feed screenshots of the native 1080p world, presenting vibrant fields and sky-diving action.

Collector's Edition follow-up

For those who need a little more than screenshots and trailers to keep them satisfied, two members of Square Enix's marketing department cracked open a Just Cause 3 Collector's Edition box for its first official unboxing. This demonstration gives players seven reasons to shell out $109.99 on the game package, available for both PS4 and Xbox One.

#1: Day One Edition of Just Cause 3

The marketing pair open up the case for viewers, revealing disc art that features maniacal dictator General Di Ravello. Di Ravello is affectionately described as an "evil, evil man" with a very "dictator-y" appearance.

#2: Weaponized Vehicle Pack

This DLC content only comes with the Day One Edition of the game. It includes:

  • Combat Buggy
  • Mini-Gun Racing Boat
  • Rocket Launcher Sports Car

The bonus pack's description details each of the three vehicles:

"Knife through the Medician waves with the Mugello Delphino GLF with the finest brushed Italian leather seats and subtle dual miniguns. Taking its name from the Russian wolverine, exude adventure with the all-terrain Urga Pocomaxa X4 vehicle, especially when that adventure requires mounted machine guns. For the more refined combat professional, drive the Kerner Serpente R12 with precision rocket launchers elegantly engineered right into the hood."

#3: Win-an-Island Contest code

While it's likely you won't be driving a real rocket launching sports car anytime soon, you may well wind up on your own island. That's right, the biggest promotion for Just Cause 3 awards the best player with a real, honest to goodness private island.

A packet included in the disc case will feature a code on the bottom of its front cover. Players must enter this code on the website listed inside the packet, which will then encourage gamers to earn as many Chaos Points as possible in a 90-day period. You earn Chaos Points by blowing things up (military bases, outposts, towns, rebel factions, etc.) in the "most creatively destructive way possible." The player who earns the most points gets the island, meaning quite a bit of work goes into the contest.

Time to get your sick days in order, if you even have any left after Fallout 4's release!

#4: Xbox One game exclusive Just Cause 2 download

All Xbox One versions of the title will include a digital download of Just Cause 2. Play for nostalgia purposes or experience the previous installment for the first time.

#5: Just Cause 3 art book

A hardcover art book included in the Collector's Edition features 32 pages of vehicles, weapons, characters, and environmental shots. Avalanche Studios Creative Art director Zach Schläppi wrote the book's foreword, shedding light on the work and process behind the game's art.

#6: 24" by 24" poster

This poster's double-sided surprise gives players more than a map. One side presents Rico Rodriguez mid-air with a scene of wanton destruction completing the backdrop.

The flip side acts as a companion tool for players. The map of the Mediterranean archipelago of Medici includes an informative key in the bottom left corner and cites the location of every town, village, and outpost gamers will need to find.

#7: Grappling Hook

In March of 2015, over 50,000 votes determined a highly anticipated addition to the Collector's Edition box: a replica of Rico Rodriguez's signature grappling hook. This item requires some assembly, but an instruction sheet will keep players on track.

The 15" replica boasts authenticity, portraying the detailed, distressed look of a well worn tool. One side of the grappling hook even contains Rico's digital read-out display.

Let's end the exciting news with those pretty pictures.

Just Cause 3 runs at native 1080p and 30 fps on the PS4, while the game will run at 900p on Xbox One. NeoGAF user nbnt's screenshots offer a visual guide to exactly what those specs translate to on-screen for PS4 users. The result includes a fresh look at the fictional Mediterranean city, Medici. With over 400 square miles available for exploration, stretching from sea bed to skyline, players can look forward to a rich open-world experience. Enjoy the amazing draw detail below:

Just Cause 3 launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC December 1st.

Excited about any of the new updates? Are you eager to jump into a new game, or so caught up in one of the community's recent releases that you don't know how you'll find the time? Share your thoughts! We don't want to leave Rico lonely and wanting.
