1. The Last Guardian

\n

Platform: PS4

\n

Release Date: December 6

\n

Publisher and Developer: Sony Interactive Entertainment and genDESIGN and SIE Japan Studio.

\n

\n

Finally. After many delays, the PS4 exclusive title will be released on December 6th!

\n

Since 2007, The Last Guardian had been in development for the PS3 by Fumito Ueda, the creative mind behind other titles like Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. But due to Ueda, along with other project members leaving Sony, and other complications like hardware issues, the title was swapped to a PS4 release instead.

\n

The game is sort of like a flashback from a boy's perspective. When he was young, he got kidnapped and was put in a castle. There he encountered the creature pictured above. With the creature's help, the boy tries to escape the castle. All this time, the two develop a friendship.

\n

This is one of the most anticipated PS4 titles yet, and gamers have been looking forward to it since its announcement at E3 2015. The title has been in development for a long time, so let's hope that it'll be a mind-blower.

3. Super Mario Run

\n

Platform: iOS

\n

Release Date: December 15

\n

Publisher and Developer: Nintendo

\n

\n

Super Mario Run will be available for the iPhone and iPad soon. The game quite honestly is pretty simple. Mario keeps running forward the whole time. By tapping the screen, he will jump and collect coins, or stomp an enemy. If you time your jumps correctly, he will be able to pull off interesting and unique moves, and gather even more coins!

\n

The game will have three modes: World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom Builder.

\n
    \n
  • World Tour: Just like any other Super Mario game, Mario must rush to Princess Peach's rescue and save her from Bowser.
  • \n
  • Toad Rally: This is sort of like a multiplayer mode. The goal is try and collect as many coins in order to set a high score between your friends or other players from around the world.
  • \n
  • Kingdom Builder: You can build your own little world from the coins that you have collected in Toad Rally.
  • \n
\n

This is basically the classic Super Mario games that you played, but incorporate a new aspect (just tapping the screen). And as stated above, it'll have a multiplayer area which might prove to be incredibly interesting for a platforming game.

4. Eagle Flight

\n

Platform: Vive

\n

Release Date: December 20

\n

Publisher and Developer: Ubisoft and Ubisoft Montreal

\n

\n

An exclusive VR title, Eagle Flight literally provides players with a bird's eye view. The whole game takes place in Paris after humans have vanished, and nature took over as a result of that. You can fly around the city and explore every street, building, and famous landmark like the Eiffel Tower.

\n

Apart from having single player, there will also be multiplayer. You will have the option to battle other players in mid air for whatever objective. Or you if prefer to avoid combat altogether, you can just have pleasant and relaxing flight.

\n

If you ever wanted to get a bird's perspective of the world, regardless of midair combat or just flying around and exploring, than this game might be for you.

5. Maize

\n

Platform: PC

\n

Release Date: December 1

\n

Publisher and Developer: Finish Line Games

\n

\n

I'm going to try and keep this simple... it's a P.O.V. adventure game about a corn that comes to life and explores an abandoned farm, the area around it, and a secret research facility that just so happens to be underground. There is also a Russian toy robot bear, so you have that to look forward to!

\n

I'm also certain that besides the adventure aspect, gamers will have to solve puzzles of various kinds. And since this game will require exploration, you'll make some unique discoveries, especially in the underground research facility!

The Last Guardian Goes Gold! https://www.gameskinny.com/rnmzw/the-last-guardian-goes-gold https://www.gameskinny.com/rnmzw/the-last-guardian-goes-gold Sun, 23 Oct 2016 23:24:52 -0400 StraightEdge434

Fans of The Last Guardian finally have something to be pleased about after president of Sony Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, has finally confirmed via Twitter that the PS4 exclusive title has officially gone gold (going gold means that the game is complete, and is ready to be put on disks for sale).

Since 2007, The Last Guardian had been in development for the PS3 by Fumito Ueda, the creative mind behind other titles like Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. But due to Ueda, along with other project members leaving Sony, and other complications like hardware issues, the title was changed to the PS4 instead.

The title was re-revealed at Sony's E3 conference back in 2015, and then again in 2016.

After suffering some delays, The Last Guardian will be released on December 6, 2016.

Xenoblade Chronicles X release date revealed by Nintendo https://www.gameskinny.com/i32up/xenoblade-chronicles-x-release-date-revealed-by-nintendo https://www.gameskinny.com/i32up/xenoblade-chronicles-x-release-date-revealed-by-nintendo Mon, 24 Aug 2015 09:36:46 -0400 mrivera269

Nintendo announced that Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Wii U will have a December 4th, 2015 release date.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a massive sci-fi role-playing game from Monolith Soft, makers of Baten Kaitos and the original Xenoblade Chronicles, coming exclusively to the Wii U.

For those who haven't heard of Xenoblade Chronicles X, it may very well be the saving grace of a failing console; the original Xenoblade Chronicles was one of the best RPGs on the Wii. The game has already been released in Japan for two months. Famitsu magazine gave the game a 34/40, Dengeki referred to the game as a masterpiece. The game was also the most downloaded game in Japan for the month of May with 23,000 copies of the game being downloaded on top of physical sales.

The Wii U is lacking in graphic power, compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the art style and colors alone makes Xenoblade look as amazing as any PlayStation 4/Xbox One game.

Xenoblade's art style is enough to look amazing on the underdog Wii U console.

Xenoblade Chronicles X also features a massive open-world, with no restrictions on where you want to explore. Everything you see, you can explore. Stay tuned for more coverage on Xenoblade Chronicles X as we inch closer to the release date.

Telltale's Game of Thrones Launch Trailer Released https://www.gameskinny.com/o8wkp/telltales-game-of-thrones-launch-trailer-released https://www.gameskinny.com/o8wkp/telltales-game-of-thrones-launch-trailer-released Mon, 01 Dec 2014 15:56:30 -0500 Mary-Kate Wagamon

As Telltale Games promised, via Twitter last week, the launch trailer for Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series released today. The game will release in a series of six episodes, starting tomorrow with the first episode, "Iron from Ice."

After the release of the first trailer, it is now known that the game is about House Forrester and their involvement in the conflicts going on in Westeros. The first trailer for the series also showed some familiar characters to fans of the HBO show, including Cersei Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, and Margaery Tyrell.

The launch trailer gives more of an idea of how all these different characters feel about the Forresters. Cersei clearly doesn't trust trust them, Margaery defends them and empathizes with them, and Tyrion offers them a warning.

The trailer ends on an unsettling note when the determined Forresters state that "[their] House will not fall" and Ramsay Snow is shown right after saying "this is a lovely pile of timber isn't it?" with a malevolent look on his face.

It certainly seems like Ramsay will act as the main antagonist to the Forresters in the game, but as anyone who has seen the HBO show or read the book series it is based on knows, Game of Thrones is full of surprising twists, so it's hard to know what to expect.

If you plan on playing Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series on PC, Mac, or PS4 in North America, you can do so starting tomorrow when "Iron from Ice" releases. Xbox One, Xbox 360, and European PS4 owners can get the game December 3rd, and it's December 4th for iOS users.

Blizzard Entertainment announced the newest expansion for their online strategy card game, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, earlier this month at BlizzCon 2014.

According to the official website for the Goblins vs. Gnomes expansion, it is adding more than 120 new cards to Hearthstone, and will allow players to choose either "the measured, careful ingenuity of the gnomes, or the trademark goblin fearlessness in the face of incredibly volatile and spectacularly explosive inventions."

Blizzard Entertainment started giving a first look at some of the new cards after announcing the expansion, with new cards unveiled every 2 to 5 days.

Here is a look at some of the recently revealed cards:

Blizzard decides which cards to show next with a Twitter contest, where people can vote for one of two cards. If you would like to vote on the next card, you can do so here, but you can only vote if you have a Twitter account.

There are the two cards you can now vote on.
