Bullet Soul launches today on the Steam Store. It was first launched in Japan in 2011 before arriving on the Xbox 360 in 2016. Today, in 2017, it has finally arrived to obliterate enemies on PC.

Bullet Soul is a modern Japanese shooter game with a classic arcade feel. Players can see it all with the game's impressive, crisp graphics. There are 4 different game modes, both timed and causal, with several different characters and ships to choose from. Those who are looking to become truly immersed in the game can even rotate their monitor vertically to fill up the entire screen.

The new PC version has been received very positively, judging by reviews on Destructoid, ZTGD, and CGMagazine. Players are recommended to have an Xbox 360/One controller on hand, but that is not required. The game can be fully operated by using the keyboard and mouse.

All DLC available from the Xbox 360 version is included with the Steam purchase. Bullet Soul is currently $13.49, which is 10% off from the regular $14.99 price tag. This discount will end soon on April 13th.

Indie puzzle game Cubway released on Steam Fri, 12 Aug 2016 13:01:38 -0400 Janiece Sebris

Indie developer ArmNomads Games has released their puzzle game Cubway on Steam. The premise of the game is for players to guide a cube through a complex geometric environment that interacts with the cube's movements. Players move the cube across the screen, left to right, in an effort to complete tasks and avoid obstacles.

The game is supposedly based on the complex cycle of rebirth called Samsāra, a Sanskrit word meaning wandering. It usually refers to the recurring cycle of all life or reincarnation. Some think the term neatly sums up the ideology of the major Indian religions. Developers of Cubway say that this abstract term is what the game is about. Players of the game can visit many "interesting and mysterious places" in their journey through Cubway, according to the game's Steam page.

Cubway is now available for purchase from Steam and is for Windows, Mac, and Linux system. Until August 18th, the game is discounted by 10%.

Microsoft Reduces the Price of the Xbox One Yet Again Mon, 25 Jul 2016 10:05:23 -0400 Kevin Malkiewicz

The Xbox One S is slated to debut August 2nd, and Microsoft keeps slashing the price of the Xbox One. The current console, which has sold more than 24 million units, is in no way obsolete with the release of the Xbox One S. The new model will feature a smaller form factor, HDR support, and 4K streaming. But other than the aforementioned features, the innards are equal.

-Xbox One S-

The current Xbox One debuted at a price point of $499, and has been reduced in price as it ages. The current price reduction brings the price to $249, a steal compared to the original price point. The new Xbox One S will debut with a range of prices starting at $299 and peaking at $449.

This current price cut makes the console even more appealing for those looking to buy. Not to mention, with the announcement of Project Scorpio slated to release next year, saving that extra bit of money to put towards the upcoming console might just tip the scales for potential buyers.

Payday 2 at 75% off on Steam, with a free week to try the game Tue, 22 Mar 2016 03:38:44 -0400 Chrisator

Steam is offering yet another good game at a steep discount, and this time it's also adding a 10-day free pass to play it beforehand. Payday 2 is a four-person co-op shooter with a twist; you play as a professional strong-arm robber, ranging from small convenient store heists to multi-million Dollar bank jobs. The game is the follow up to the critically claimed Payday: The Heist

Payday 2 is on offer at 75% off for just $4.99 (£3.74), with the Game of the Year edition, which includes most of the major DLCs, sitting at $12.49 (£7.49). All other DLCs are also on offer, sitting $1 to $3 each, with quite a few of them going completely free.

With really cool and unique heists, like the Hotxon Breakout Heist or the Goat Simulator Heist (yes, you read that correctly!), the game always has something new to offer. Each heist is different, with dynamic placement of important items such as security cameras, vaults and civilians. You also get the ability to "case the joint" before a heist in civilian gear, making for a very realistic experience overall. Finally, Crimenet, the game's internal match-making system, pairs you up with other potential robbers when you aren't able to bring your off-screen friends into the Payday world.

Whatever your particular interests are, you should probably check the free pass of the game, which only costs you the 12.5 GB of space it takes to store it, before it ends on March 31st. Check out the Payday 2 sale page here.

GuildPortal shutting down, Gamer Launch offers to take in refugee guilds Wed, 04 Nov 2015 05:39:53 -0500 Auverin Morrow

Gamers who logged into GuildPortal this morning got a nasty surprise. A short notice on the site's homepage informed them that GuildPortal would be going offline permanently by the end of the month. (You can see the notice in the image above.)

This is a pretty devastating blow to the gamers and guilds who spent time building their communities through the site since 2001. They'd already lived through one scare after GuildPortal forgot to renew its domain last month. It looks like things are for real this time around. In the forums, users of the site offered to help in whatever way they could to keep GuildPortal up and running. But there has been next to no response from staff on the site or on social media.

Gamer Launch Promo Code

If your guild has been affected by the Guild Portal shutdown, Gamer Launch wants to help you out.

Our sister site, Gamer Launch, is a modern guild hosting platform and gaming community CMS that features advanced styling, drag & drop editing, WYSIWYG text management, EQ2 Census support, an industry defining support team, and more.

We hate to see so many guilds displaced, so we're offering a discount to guilds who switch to Gamer Launch.

Use the code GUILDPORTALPROMO at checkout for 3 free months of service.

Head on over to the Gamer Launch site to see all the great features it has to offer and claim your discount code now! We hope that soon you'll be calling Gamer Launch home.

PlayStation 4 price drop has reached Europe Wed, 21 Oct 2015 05:07:17 -0400 Daniel Williams_2179

The PlayStation 4 has been getting a price drop in the regions of Japan and North America. And now Europe has finally been included on this discount. Starting now, the 500 GB PS4 will be sold at $349.99 euros/ £299.99 across the SCEE region.

This is the latest price drop for the PS4 across the regions. This started at TGS 2015, where Sony announced the PS4 would be getting a price drop in the region of Japan that will be going into effect on October 31st. This was followed with a price cut in North America and Canada. If you still haven't picked up a PlayStation 4 yet, this is the best time to do so.

Not only is the PS4 cheaper, but it just got an upgrade as well. Earlier this week, the new firmware 3.10 update went live on PS4. This update introduced the ability to follow verified accounts of games, as well as people and companies who are associated with those games. It also added a new sticker to the messages.

A PS4 Price Drop for Japan, a precursor to the West? Wed, 16 Sep 2015 18:50:26 -0400 Dalton White I

During Sony’s Tokyo Game Show conference yesterday there were plenty of game reveals. Sony also revealed that the price of the PlayStation 4 would be dropping, but only in Japan.

The system will apparently be sold for ¥34,980 (around $290/£190) starting in October. It isn’t a huge change as the original price is ¥39,980 (about $330 or £217). Additionally there isn’t a guarantee that this reduced price will be implemented worldwide, which may seem as inconsequential to many gaming fans outside of Japan.

However this is the first time Sony has changed from its initial price for the PS4. The reason could be that the Xbox One outsold the PS4 in North America last year during the holiday season (once they got ride of the standard Kinect accessory). It could be that Sony is trying to match Microsoft’s price for the Xbox One in time for the holidays, hopefully around the world.

microsoft vs sony

Is Sony rising to challenge Microsoft's 8th gen. price?

So if there are people who have been debating on whether to invest the money into a PS4, this holiday season could be a good time. The PS4 has some amazing games, like Bloodborne, in its arsenal and more are on the way this Winter, but with no official word on global price drops we will just have to wait and see.
