Amiibo collectors, get ready: more dioramas for your figures have been announced! The ink-shooter Splatoon will be receiving not one, but TWO sets based on the Kelp Dome battlefield and a Squid Sisters concert.

While both sets include decorative stickers, the Squid Sisters diorama features electronic interactivity, as they connect to your 3DS or smartphone for displaying a concert courtesy of Callie and Marie themselves. Any Splatoon player, kid or squid, can catch up on all their fresh hits.

Both dioramas will launch in Japan on July 7th for 1,080 yen ($10 US dollars), but no word has emerged on their Western arrival (or, for that matter, the Smash Bros. and Kirby dioramas released last month). We'll keep our eyes peeled for that, but in the meantime, you can preorder imports on Play-Asia.

Would you purchase the Splatoon amiibo dioramas should they launch in the states? Let us know in the comments below!

JP Version of Darkstalkers Resurrection to Have Dual Language Option? Wed, 06 Mar 2013 04:16:43 -0500 Ashley Shankle

Who cares if a game that's getting an English release has an English option in the Japanese release? Those of us that want to own a physical copy of Darkstalkers Resurrection, that's who.

Siliconera reports Sony Computer Entertainment of Korea's product page for the game, which lists the title has having a dual language option for subtitles. This in itself isn't exciting, but it may point to the Japanese release having an English language option.

Okay, the Japanese version having an English option isn't all that exciting either -- unless you really really like Darkstalkers. The concept of Darkstalkers Resurrection even existing is very exciting for me personally, but a dual language option on the Japanese release will basically seal the deal on my importing the game.

The North American version of the game will be released only on the Xbox Live Arcade (1,200 MS Points) and the PlayStation Network ($14.99), while the Japanese version is seeing a physical copy (2,990 yen). All editions will be released on March 14.
