In case you haven't heard, the NES Classic released today. And nostalgia-driven gamers everywhere flocked to online or retail stores to get it, since there was no option to pre-order. But many of them walked away disappointed and empty-handed, because the system sold out in a mere 5 minutes

After hearing that the NES had already sold out, lots of these would-be buyers took to Twitter to share how heartbroken they were over the fact that they wouldn't be reliving the glory days of gaming just yet.

Some of them took it in humorous stride, and others seemed legitimately upset that they'll have to wait an undisclosed amount of time for the system to go on sale again. Running the gamut from silly to sorrowful, here are some of the best reaction Tweets from fans who didn't get their hands on the NES Classic this time around.

And last but not least, this NES fan has a message of hope for all of us, regardless of whether or not you managed to get your hands on the system.

What a time indeed. Although the Classic might be sold out for now, it certainly won't be forever. Nintendo is known for creating scarcity when it first releases consoles -- the same happened with the Wii at launch, and many amiibo releases have seen the same treatment as well. Hopefully more systems will arrive before the holiday season comes to an end.

20 Side-Splitting Twitter Reactions to the Nintendo Switch Fri, 21 Oct 2016 09:01:10 -0400 Auverin Morrow

In a mere 24 hours, the Nintendo Switch has utterly taken over the Internet. Since its initial reveal yesterday morning, where we got some details on what it will be able to do, fans have been rabid for more Nintendo goodness.

On Twitter, Reddit, and various other social media outlets, they've been speculating about the Switch's features, coming up with their own theories on what it might (or should) do, and even creating some pretty hilarious parody images featuring the upcoming console.

But as you'd expect, Twitter takes the cake in terms of fan reactions. Being such a candid platform, it exploded after the Switch was revealed -- and it hasn't really slowed down. Whether good or bad, here are some of the funniest reactions we've seen so far.

This doesn't even scratch the surface of all the hilarity happening on Twitter right now. Needless to say, fans are pretty hype. Let's just hope that their heads don't explode between now and the Switch's March release.

Bungie Forces Server Queues; Rise of Iron Players Turn Twitter into a Salt Mine Tue, 20 Sep 2016 05:31:23 -0400 Auverin Morrow

The highly anticipated Rise of Iron DLC released for Destiny earlier today. And as expected, eager fans flocked to their consoles to sink their teeth into more FPS goodness. But when they started their games, there was one big problem: the servers are totally overloaded.

So many people have tried to access the game following the Rise of Iron launch that Bungie has temporarily implemented a queue to keep their servers from crashing completely. They announced the move on Twitter early this morning:

Needless to say, fans are very displeased. And they, too, have taken to Twitter to express their rage/disappointment/frustration/ill-wishes. Fortunately for the rest of us, their misery is kind of hilarious. Here are some of the best reactions we've seen so far:

Hopefully Bungie will be able to sort out the overload soon. We don't think Twitter is going to be able to take much more salt. But for now, incoming Guardians will have to wait in line with the rest of us. (Perhaps do a quick workout to channel the rage?)

The good news is that those fans who have made it into the DLC say it's definitely worth the wait. Lucky them.

Have you checked out the Rise of Iron DLC yet? Still waiting in the growing queue? Let us know down in the comments!

Funniest jump scares and reaction videos on YouTube Tue, 05 Apr 2016 14:30:30 -0400 Eric Adams

Everybody loves to watch someone else get scared -- it’s human nature. The facial reactions, the hilarious high-pitched scream they let out, and a near fatal heart attack is all wonderfully enjoyed by tons of people on the Internet. As long as it’s not us, right?

Well, prepare to laugh, because this article will show you some of the best jump scares and reaction videos YouTube has to offer.

Jump Scare Compilation

Professional wrestler Xavier Woods runs this YouTube gaming channel. and it features a bunch of videos of wrestlers joining Woods to play their favorite video games. While the videos that don’t include jump scares are also entertaining, the reaction videos of Woods playing survival horror games are the real gems. It is funny enough when it is just random people getting scared, but it is even funnier when larger-than-life wrestlers scream like little children.

Scariest Moments of Gaming

I think at this point in time, as people who play and love video games, we all know PewDiePie. If you don’t, then boy do I have a treat for you. PewDiePie and his reaction videos are some of the funniest videos you’ll ever watch. Watching this guy go from nearly pissing his pants to trying to think of soft, cuddly kittens is some of the best entertainment YouTube has to offer.

Five Nights at Freddy's Reaction Compilation

The king of yelling hilarious statements while cowering in fear is here. Markiplier is very loud and very funny, and his Five Nights at Freddy’s reaction video certainly proves that. His channel is comprised of many jump scare and reaction videos that are definitely worth checking out.

Boogeyman VR

This guy literally just loves getting the crap scared out of him. His channel is only jump scares and reactions. He even uses the Oculus Rift in most of his videos, so this will give you a good idea of how much you will be crying if you happened to try survival horror VR games. Let’s take a moment here to appreciate this guy for allowing us to cry laughing at his hilarious screams and reactions.

Fans respond to GameStop shutting down in Puerto Rico Fri, 15 Jan 2016 04:23:01 -0500 Chan Moore

Yesterday when it was announced that all 35 GameStop stores in Puerto Rico would be closing, I died inside a little bit for all those gamers who were affected. A mixture of business challenges and high taxes caused the company to pull the plug. They will continue to operate until March 31st of this year.

At their attempt to ease the pain, they are giving 25% off of everything in the store except:

1. Brand New Consoles
2. Prepaid Cards
3. Gift Cards
4. DLC
5. Digital Games

But even in spite of this consolation, how is this shutdown being received in the gaming community -- by those in Puerto Rico and elsewhere? Not very well, as anyone would have guessed. Some people were glad to see them go, but those were few and far between.

Below are the thoughts and feeback from some of the people I came across.

As you saw for yourself, this has dramatically impacted how gamers will stay connected to all of their favorite games, consoles, and swag. There are a few other options for them to buy video game merchandise -- mainly Best Buy and Walmart. But it's not going to be the same -- not even close. Having the freedom to play a demo, browse games, trade in old games/consoles, or just pick up a game guide will not be possible at those other two stores.

This situation is a major hit to the company's slogan: "Power To The Players".

Let us know how you would feel if your neighborhood GameStop shut down.

Elders Play Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Fri, 27 Feb 2015 07:18:58 -0500 Left Foot

If you have ever played Five Nights at Freddy's 1 or 2 you know the game has some good jump scares. You can find reaction videos all over the YouTube showing people jumping out of there chairs with fright. The one thing I noticed was the elders barely had any reaction to the jump scares. It didn't even faze some of them. My favorite reaction comes at 7:11

Japanese Ladies React to Silent Hills Playable Trailer Sun, 17 Aug 2014 10:57:01 -0400 Angelina Bonilla

Konami is taking a page from EA’s book when it comes to marketing the upcoming Silent Hills game in this fun marketing campaign. While in the trailer itself we see very little of the game itself, the reactions from some of the women shows it all.

This might not be as engaging as “Your Mom Hates Dead Space 2" campaign,  which had a wider variety of mothers reacting to a wider variety of things, but it was still nice to see nice footage of the playable trailer in between shots of the reactors' faces.

The playable trailer appears to involve exploring a house. With a little musical manipulation, it manages to scare the daylights out of most of the women in the video. With the exception of one - who must have nerves of steel. There’s no way for us to know for sure if these reactions are genuine, but it was a humorous video to watch, and a good way to hype up the new Silent Hills game.
