Today, Capcom released a trailer that introduces four new characters for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite -- including Spider-Man, Nemesis, Haggar, and Frank West. But this is the second set of newly announced characters, following Jedah's announcement on Sunday. This puts us at 14 Marvel heroes and 15 Capcom heroes on the roster.

The Marvel heroes currently are:

  • Captain America
  • Doctor Strange
  • Hawkeye
  • Black Panther
  • Hulk
  • Captain Marvel (aka Carol Danvers)
  • Gamora
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Iron Man
  • Spider-Man
  • Thor
  • Nova (aka Richard Rider)
  • Thanos
  • Ultron

We’ve also seen Groot appear in a trailer, but there is no confirmation yet on whether or not he’ll be playable.

Earlier Marvel vs. Capcom games focused on the X-Men. But now X-Men doesn’t have any representation. Cable, Cyclops, Gambit, Iceman, Juggernaut, Magneto, Marrow, Omega Red, Phoenix, Psylocke, Rogue, Sabretooth, Sentinel, Spiral, Storm, Wolverine, and X-23 are not in the lineup.

Now the team seems more focused on members of the Avengers. Additionally, Hulk is around, but She-Hulk doesn’t seem to be getting any love. And MODOK has not been announced as a character, but he does appear as part of one of the maps in the trailer above.

The Capcom heroes currently are:

  • Arthur
  • Chris Redfield
  • Nemesis T-Type
  • Chun-Li
  • Ryu
  • Dante
  • Frank West
  • Jedah Dohma
  • Morrigan Aensland
  • Mega Man X
  • Sigma
  • Zero
  • Mike Haggar
  • Nathan Spencer
  • Strider Hiryu

Of course, there isn’t room for everyone.

On the Capcom side, it’s a shame that the flaming white wolf Amaterasu from Okami might disappear from the scene. And while Chris Redfield and Nemesis T-Type stay from Resident Evil, \Albert Wesker and Jill Valentine might be packing their bags. Arthur could be taking the place of Firebrand from Ghosts ‘n Goblins. And while Chin-Li and Ryu remain from Street Fighter, it appears that Akuma and Crimson Viper might be going home. Darkstalkers has Jedah Dohma and Morrigan Aensland, but the cat-girl Felicia and Hsien-Ko have not been confirmed. Trish and Vergil have been left out, but Dante from Devil May Cry remains. Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney is also nowhere to be seen.

This is the sixth Marvel v.s. Capcom title, but the new game focuses on two-on-two fights as opposed to the previous three-on-three setup. And they’ve added in Infinity Stones for a new gameplay mechanic. Additionally, this game will be the first of the series to include a cinematic story mode where the heroes and villains of the Marvel and Capcom universes must work together to take out Ultron Sigma.

Those who pre-order teh game will get the Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu costumes. The Deluxe Edition includes the 2017 Character Pass. Which includes six additional characters including Sigma and Black Panther.

Additionally, those who get the game for PS4 will also get the exclusive Major Carol Danvers costume. The Exclusive Edition comes with figures of Iron Man, Chun-Li, Captain Marvel, and Mega Man X as well as six Infinity Stone replicas.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 19 in North America and Europe. Japanese fans will have to wait until September 21 for the title.

Are you excited for the two-on-two matches? Do you feel like the Infinity Stones are too gimmicky? What characters could you do without on the roster and who would you like added? Share in the comments below!

More LEGO: Marvel's Avengers details revealed at Comic Con https://www.gameskinny.com/5u8be/more-lego-marvels-avengers-details-revealed-at-comic-con https://www.gameskinny.com/5u8be/more-lego-marvels-avengers-details-revealed-at-comic-con Sun, 12 Jul 2015 04:14:31 -0400 Courtney Gamache

The panel for TT Games at this year's San Diego Comic-Con was crawling with Marvel fans, all wanting to know details about the upcoming LEGO: Marvel's Avengers game that's set to release in winter of 2015.

TT Games, the developers behind the LEGO Marvel franchise, gave an overview of what gamers can expect from the upcoming LEGO: Marvel's Avengers, a sort-of sequel to LEGO: Marvel Super Heroes. Although the first LEGO Marvel game was a fantastic debut, this upcoming game will be bringing together comic books, movies, and cartoons into one awesome game.

The director behind the game, Alan Parsons stated that:

"It's a celebration of everything Avengers...Comic books, movies, cartoons. It's everything you love about the Avengers in video games."

What the panel announced

TT announced that game will have aspects reflecting all the Avengers movies - including the film Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and movies that have not yet been released. The whole gang will be back together, along with some other characters like Iron Stan (an Iron Man version of Stan Lee), Sam Wilson (Falcon) as Captain America, Crossbones, and Wiccan from Young Avengers. Aside from the numerous costume options, there are over 100 characters to collect and play with.

When this sweet-looking LEGO game releases winter of 2015 (probably during the holiday season), you'll be able to find it for practically any console: PC, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.

As a hardcore LEGO games fan, I can't wait to be playing this with my friends and maybe even my nephew. What about you? Does this new info have you excited? Let us know in the comments!

Rise in Assault at San Diego Comic Con https://www.gameskinny.com/fhdui/rise-in-assault-at-san-diego-comic-con https://www.gameskinny.com/fhdui/rise-in-assault-at-san-diego-comic-con Tue, 29 Jul 2014 18:49:23 -0400 Venisia Gonzalez

There is always news regarding assault, sexual harrassment, and comic con policies when it comes to any convention. This year at the San Diego Comic Con has most certainly raised some serious concerns as to the safety of all attendees. Despite claims of increased security and presence of local San Diego Police Department, incidents still occurred.

The most horrifying of incidents involved a female minor cosplayer attending the convention in celebration of her birthday. It was reported that after a disagreement, the victim ran off and was later discovered on the side of a road--unconcious and bloody. The victim's friends and family reached out, along with the San Diego Harbor Police Department, to anyone with any information to contact them. The victim is listed in critical condition at a San Diego Hospital. The victim's identity is being concealed since she is a minor.

Press Release from the San Diego Harbor Police Department:

Incident Type: Arrest

Incident Date/Time: July 27, 2014 1:15am

Location: 333 W Harbor DR.

Case #: 14-03122

Prepared by: Sergeant Todd Rakos

Harbor Police arrested a 29-year-old man early Sunday morning, July 27th in a hotel at 333 West Harbor Drive. He was booked into San Diego County Jail at 11:20 am on charges of sexual contact with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of minor. The victim, a juvenile female, was transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. The Harbor Police Investigations Unit is handling the incident. This investigation is ongoing.

We here at GameSkinny send our best wishes to the victim and her family for a full and speedy recovery.

This wasn't the only assault out of SDCC either. Adrainne Curry was noted for coming to the aide of a friend and fellow cosplayer, Alicia Marie, after being assaulted by an attendee. As someone who frequents conventions, incidents such as these, concern me greatly. Why are we not safe? Why aren't officials doing a better job at prevention?

All of this begs to question consent. A word that is becoming extinct for all intents and purposes. Since when has behavior such as these become the "norm?" Something needs to be done and it starts with each and every one of you.

Another Mass Effect to Hit Shelves... But Still A Few Years Off https://www.gameskinny.com/w33io/another-mass-effect-to-hit-shelves-but-still-a-few-years-off https://www.gameskinny.com/w33io/another-mass-effect-to-hit-shelves-but-still-a-few-years-off Sun, 27 Jul 2014 23:31:54 -0400 Mary Yeager

Fans of Mass Effect can rejoice as news comes out of San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). BioWare unleashed several images at SDCC this year with a few hints on the title that is yet unnamed and still years left in the making. Don't expect to play Shepard this go round though. We have a new hero in the making.

BioWare had little on the definitive side to relate to fans of the original trilogy. Players will have the option to play as male or female as seen in the shots of the hero's armor. The hero's race has not yet been determined nor do we know if players will be able to choose their own race. In the announcement, Mike Gamble, the producer for Mass Effect said, "It's ingrained in us to give players as much choice as possible."

The Mako vehicle is reappearing in the new title. Redesigned after feedback from players as well as innovations in technology since the original Mass Effect, the Mako looks like a sweet ride that can go just about anywhere. The redesigned Mako is more agile, but it does lack the cannon. Since the focus of the new game will be new planet exploration, the vehicle will be a key part to playing the game.

Set Within Shepard's Timeline

The title is set during Shepard's lifetime, so there is no huge jump forward or backwards. The storyline will also not involve Shepard, but it was undetermined on whether Shepard will have a cameo role or not.

There will also be multiplayer. There will be competitive multiplayer, but cooperative play is their utmost focus. With the game possibly being set in a new galaxy, the options for the BioWare team are virtually endless in what they could add to the new generation of Mass Effect titles. One thing to note, the game is not and will not be called Mass Effect 4.

It is unknown at this time what platforms the game will be released on.

San Diego Comic-Con No Longer Offering 4-Day Passes https://www.gameskinny.com/v3qcm/san-diego-comic-con-no-longer-offering-4-day-passes https://www.gameskinny.com/v3qcm/san-diego-comic-con-no-longer-offering-4-day-passes Fri, 10 Jan 2014 07:53:15 -0500 Lauren Puga

If you’ve ever tried to attend a large-scale convention, then you know that obtaining badges can be a slow, and sometimes painful, process. For hopeful attendees of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it looks like this just got a little more difficult.

Comic-Con International has announced that they will no longer be offering 4-day badges. Anyone who hopes to attend SDCC this year will be required to buy a single-day badge for each day they want to attend. Additionally, Preview Night badges will only be available to those who buy badges for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Organizers gave no explanation for the change but may be taking notes from ReedPOP’s New York Comic Con.

Last year, NYCC reduced the number of 3-day passes available to allow more people to attend each day. While the multiday passes sold out quickly, single day passes remained available for months. That’s not likely to happen with San Diego Comic-Con, but perhaps it will give those who only want to attend one or two days a better shot at obtaining badges.

Like previous years, tickets will first be made available to those who attended last year, then open up to everyone else. An exact date still hasn’t been confirmed, but the official site says “sometime in early 2014”.

May the odds be ever in your favor.

More Xbox One news revealed at SDCC and More Soon to Come! https://www.gameskinny.com/ertsl/more-xbox-one-news-revealed-at-sdcc-and-more-soon-to-come https://www.gameskinny.com/ertsl/more-xbox-one-news-revealed-at-sdcc-and-more-soon-to-come Sat, 20 Jul 2013 19:55:38 -0400 Harry ;)

Major Nelson, a.k.a Larry Hyrb (or is it the other way around?), took the stage today at San Diego Comic Con 2013 to talk to us more about some of the features of the upcoming Xbox One and in the process, showing off Kinect 2.0 as well as some of the most hyped games, Killer Instict 3, Forza 5, and Dead Rising 3.

One of the most anticipated features of the console is the ability to record and share clips of games without the need for any external peripheral.

To ensure you don't miss any chance to brag about your epic game moments, Xbox One will record the last five minutes of gameplay of any game you are playing. And if you just say, "Xbox Record," the Xbox One will automatically save the last 30 seconds of your gameplay. Furthermore, the clip can be shared without even leaving your game to go to the dashboard, via a menu that pulls up over your gameplay.

Something like this is very useful in games like Killer Instinct 3 where you never know when you may pull off an epic combo.

In addition to this, additional Kinect capabilities were announced.

Kinect 2.0 will feature individual player recognition in a group. Kinect can now differentiate between you and your friends sitting on a couch. It can detect if a controller has been passed to another player and according changes the controller control scheme. It can even track individual finger movements even at 3 metres and track individual players up to 1 metre.

And the best feature of them all, it can now scan a 3D model of your face and place it on your character during gameplay if the game chooses to allow that. This 3D model will also feature real time expressions, so if you are sad, your avatar will be sad. It can also use BMI to change the physical characters of your avatar. In short, your character will really be a shadow of you.

All these features are built into the console and any game will be able to utilise these.

Smart glass also recieved a considerable update today.

You can use smart glass to send out multiplayer game invites while you play a single player campaign mode. And they even don't have to be the same game. So for example, you are playing Dead Rising 3, you can send out invites to your friends for Forza 5. As soon as your friends are ready, Xbox One will seemlessly switch between the games. Now that's cool.

But still the biggest question remains unanswered. When will we be able to hold this console in our hands? Major Nelson teased us gamers by saying, "they would be announcing more news about the Xbox One later in the summer." Well I hope that doesn't take too long.
