A brand new trailer for Mirror's Edge: Catalyst was released on YouTube today, teasing parts of the story and elements of gameplay that were "captured in-engine."

Check it out:

The game certainly looks fantastic and is set to be a significant improvement over the original that came out back in 2008. Gameplay has been refined, with DICE removing the clunky gun fights for example, and the story should be even more engrossing this time around.

Although Catalyst is set for a release date of 24th May 2016, you can potentially play the game far earlier as EA and DICE have just opened registration for the closed beta. It will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

To gain access, head over to the official ME: Catalyst website and sign up. You will need an EA account to do this, but you can create one just before registering for the beta itself.

Titanfall Beta Sign-ups Are Live Tue, 11 Feb 2014 15:32:03 -0500 Corey Kirk

For the better part of the past month, Respawn Entertainment CEO Vince Zampella has teased us with trickles of new information for the highly anticipated game Titanfall. He confirmed the game will have 6 versus 6 multiplayer matches, three different types of Titans, and will feature two opposing groups battling it out for control of the galaxy. The biggest news however was the confirmation of a Titanfall beta before the game releases next month.

The wait is finally over.

Today, the team launches sign-ups for said beta. Interestingly, even though they have already had a limited alpha test to a select few Xbox One owners, the beta will be a closed beta.  According to Zampella, existing pre-orders do not help in getting an invite. He says,

Our Take:

It is surprising that this is a closed beta so close to the release date. While there is no doubt that the dev team is full of talented individuals who work very hard, the fact that a closed beta test is happening exactly 30 days from release is a little worrisome. Does this mean that there will be a huge day-one update? Is the game so full of polish that the team knows it doesn’t have a lot of bugs to fix? I guess we will see.

Titanfall officially launches for the Xbox One and PC on March 11th, and the Xbox 360 on March 25th

Project Spark Beta Registration Now Open! Mon, 24 Jun 2013 22:39:36 -0400 Kolbias

Microsoft has opened beta registration for their new visual programming game Project Spark, a world creation game being released for Xbox One and Windows 8. People who would like to be among the first players to try/test the game can sign up now at, while their Facebook page also promises to keep us informed.

Project Spark is the next version of Microsoft's Kodu programming language, a programming language used to help kids create games on the PC and Xbox via a simple visual programming language. The Kodu Game Lab was released in mid 2009 as a teaching device.

While we still have yet to see the full capabilities of Project Spark, and hope to see more in the coming weeks and months, we can bet that we'll see some interesting things come out of the beta. We know from the past in games like Garry's Mod and Minecraft, when players are given the power to create anything, amazing things can happen.
