As seen in my latest guide, finding the best weapons and armor is always a top priority in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. You may have noticed there are open slots available on various chest armor, gloves, boots, and gloves. These slots are for Glyphs.

These are for Glyphs which add bonuses to your socketed body gear. Some may represent and enhance one of the various Signs so when you're in combat, you may get an added bonus.

Be sure to check here for more guides to help achieve success throughout your journey.

Here in this guide you'll find:

Glyphs

When you loot chests, bags, and corpses you can find glyphs. Other times you can purchase them from the various shopkeepers throughout the Northern Realm. These will add an enchantment that are degree specific and will increase Sign ability bonuses. There are two types of glyphs: Lesser and Greater.

The Glyph of Infusion (rating: Magic) is required to enchant a piece of armor as it's the base component to crafting Lesser Glyphs. When disassembled, it provides silk (1), powdered pearl (1), feather (1), and Monstrous blood (1).

When other glyphs are disassembled, Lesser Glyphs (rating: Magic) will provide silk (1); and Greater Glyphs (rating: Relic) will provide both silk (1) and infused dust (2).

Since Glyphs are important, you'll need to have them for the added bonuses. It's nice to know that you don't just have to search for them. You can certainly purchase them from the various shopkeepers throughout the Northern Realms, but at those exploited prices who'd want to?

Diagrams will be your new best friend! You can find them throughout the game or purchase them from the various shopkeepers. When you need them made, just head over to an Armorer.

Each of the Diagrams below require Journeyman level craftsmen.

Mutagens

Mutagens are used in combination with character abilities to give bonuses to your character Geralt of Rivia. These items are obtained from slaying monsters throughout the Northern Realms.

Types of Mutagen:

There are common, lesser mutagens, and then there are mutagens dropped from specific monsters killed for Geralt's Witcher contracts.

There are also three colors of Mutagen: red, green, and blue. Each color coincides with the specific skill trees.

  • Red: Attack Power bonuses in the Combat Sign area
  • Green: Alchemy and bomb bonuses; increases Vitality

Mutagen Slots

The ability slots in the Character Screen are divided into groups of three. Each of these has a mutagen slot to provide special bonuses to the abilities in that group. Since there are only three types of mutagen and four mutagen slots, double up where needed for the bonuses. If you use mutagens that coordinate with the abilities, you’ll get even higher bonuses; e.g. Green Mutagen combined with Alchemy abilities.

You start the game with no Mutagen Slots unlocked, but by the time you reach Level 28, all four slots will be unlocked.

Decoctions

Decoctions are for the experienced Witcher, thanks to their high toxicity and the risk that comes with them. Yet so worth it!

These are alchemy potions made with specific monster mutagens that Geralt gets during a Witcher contract kill. These provide great bonuses, but come with a very high toxicity, so it's best to weigh your options before using.

  • Troll Decoction: Constant Vitality regeneration in and out of combat. For Witchers expecting multiple waves of enemies.
  • Ekimmara Decoction: A Witcher restores Vitality with every successful strike against an enemy.
  • Succubus Decoction: The longer the battle, the harder the Witcher strikes!
  • Alghoul Decoction: Adrenaline is generated more quickly by a Witcher in combat, but the effect is broken upon the first successful strike from an enemy.
  • Werewolf Decoction: Running, sprinting, and jumping outside of combat doesn't use Stamina.

More will follow in my Potions Guide coming soon which will include how to make bombs and more.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Bovine Money & Food Exploit https://www.gameskinny.com/8ivjv/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-bovine-money-food-exploit https://www.gameskinny.com/8ivjv/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-bovine-money-food-exploit Thu, 21 May 2015 20:47:49 -0400 Venisia Gonzalez

Hello fellow Witchers of the Northern Realms. Are you finding funds a bit difficult to come by? Are the Vellen Longswords and Maribor Swords not selling like they used to? It's a really tough market out there.

Well head over to White Orchard where the local bovine (with a little meditation) make for agricultural economic fun!

Be sure to check here for more guides to help achieve success throughout your journey.

YouTuber WhatsMyGame discovered this unique exploit during his playthrough after realizing how badly certain items sell at the vendors. The key to making any money in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is finding items that sell for a good sum and cow hide is your ticket.

The field for this is located in White Orchard by the tavern where you first met up with Vesemir. There's a bunch of women cleaning with one sitting on the ground upset. You'll see two cows in the small field within the fence. That's your location!

You'll need to kill both cows, loot what they drop, then go into your menu and select Meditation. Set your Meditation ahead for two hours. The cows should be in the field again for you to rinse and repeat. The cow hide is the most valuable when selling to the shop keepers. Please bear in mind that cow hide won't always drop, however, you'll get raw meat and milk which are useful for your Vitality!

Note: This IS NOT a cheat, it's legitimate. Shop keepers only have so much money, so you can fast-travel to other areas to sell your extra cow hide. Also, in this same area at the Armorer, purchasing the saddlebags for Roach will increase the amount you can carry.

As a reminder: if you haven't noticed by now throughout The Witcher 3, this game is all about save, save, saving your progress. Yes the game auto-saves, but they're also quite far and in-between. So if you do happen to die, it'll start you back at your last save point. Not fun...

Hope this helps. Don't forget to check through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Master Guide List for more helpful guides, tips, and tricks to assist you throughout your journey.
