Before we get into the Street Fighter 6 moves lists in earnest, it’s worth going over a few things briefly in case you need a refresher or are new to the series.

Canceling

It’s possible to chain Light, Medium, and Heavy attacks together into combos by hitting command inputs in quick succession, canceling each into the other. Likewise, it’s possible to cancel into SF6 Special Moves like Ken’s Shoryuken, as well as Drive Impacts, Drive Rushes, and Super Arts.

Since you’ll need to learn the different timings for these, I suggest spending some time with your characters in Training Mode and going through the various tutorials. Since I’m terrible at my timing, I played through the many Combo Trials under Practice in Fighting Ground to brush up.

Move Strength

Certain attacks have different strengths or are able to cover different distances based on the input you use. For example, a special move that uses Light Punch (LP) will be less powerful than one that uses Heavy Punch (HP).

SF6 Overdrive Arts and Drive Gauge

Some Street Fighter 6 moves have an additional, more powerful version called an Overdrive Art (OA). Overdrive Arts use the Drive Gauge (DG), which is new to Street Fighter 6 but operates in a similar fashion to EX moves in previous installments. Using an Overdrive Art is different than using an attack with different strengths.

  • To perform an OA, perform a special move while also pressing two punch or kick buttons. If you’ve done it correctly, your character will turn gold momentarily.
  • All Overdrive Arts use 2 bars of the Drive Gauge.
  • There are some additional moves that require you first use an Overdrive Art. These nested moves within an Overdrive Art use 1 bar of the DG.

Common Moves and Assisted Combos

All Common Moves and Assisted Copmbos with Modern Controls also use the Drive Gauge to varying degrees. For example, a Drive Reversal uses 2 bars of the DG, while a Drive Parry uses continuous DG. Further, Assisted Combos will also use part of the Super Arts meter.

Common Moves are universal to all Street Fighter 6 character command lists. Moves will have slightly different names based on the fighter, but the inputs don’t vary from character to character. Below, I’ve listed out the general category names for Common Moves, their controls, how much DG they require, and other notes.

Throws

Likewise, all throws have the same inputs for all characters, even if those commands are under different names in each of the Street Fighter 6 moves lists. All throws can only be activated near the opponent.

Street Fighter 6 Character Super Arts

Finally, there are Super Arts (SA). These are, of course, the most powerful moves and combo chains in the game. Each character move list includes three Super Arts, each of them requiring the same amount of Super Art Gauge (SAG) to pull off — no matter the fighter or move name.

  • The first SA requires 1 SAG bar
  • The second SA requires 2 SAG bars
  • The third SA requires 3 SAG bars

Some SF6 character command lists below have more than three Super Arts, with some that are available only while jumping, for example. Most of these fall into the 2 SAG bar range.
